is there any significant difference between Lupron and Eligard…? I am focused on the Stampede protocol and it seems to specify Lupron.

Eligard vs Lupron
Not really, from an efficacy perspective.
They are both based on the same active ingredient, Leuprorelin Acetate.
The key difference is the formulation for delivery (powder vs microspheres) and how they are injected (subcutaneous or intramuscular), dosing frequency (1,3,4,6 mo) and some other factors.

I was on Ellegard as part of the stampede protocol for about two years in 2015 2016. I had metastatic PC with PSA over 100. I was told I had two or three years left to live and I’m still here PSA less than one.
I prefer Lupron as it doesn't give me a sore at the injection point like Eligard does. They work the same, though.
I think you need to say the needle hurt “me” like hell. I barely felt it….betting there is an art to administering this drug.
