This holiday season, many of us are facing full lockdown due to a rampant Covid disease that is causing the collapse of the health care resources. Here where I live, it’s especially grim. We’ve been cooped up since March.
The great news for all of especially susceptible PCa families is that a vaccine is nearly here. Here locally where healthcare is collapsing, icu nurses and doctors are already getting the vaccine on what’s called an experimental basis. In the next few months, all of us will start to see the availability of the vaccine. That’s the really good news all of us can anticipate to try not to have to waste too many more of our remaining days stuck at home.
Things are looking up finally , for times ahead, a good reason to feel good this holiday season ... a good time to be with our wives and family.
Just say’in ⛄️

Same to you brother tree down, hope you and the family will be watching some fireplace logs on the big screen and sipping a cup of hot chocolate..... enjoying your precious time together.
Agreed ! Addios 2020! . I’d like to give it a swift kick in the ass on the way out ! .... .. the reality is 21 could be much worse . Hang on to you hat.
Enjoy the sweet smell and beauty of that Alpine forest Kaliber... nothing more refreshing than to be out on a blue sky day like that to reset your appreciation for life. We're going into stay-at-home orders soon as well in SoCal hopefully for the last time! Stay pos!
That forest is indeed very fragrant. That’s the Grant tree loop foot trail up in Kings Canyon National Park. It’s about 45 minutes east of here, Fresno , up the mountain. It should be on everyone’s bucket list. Down here , like SoCal, it’s palm trees, Panama hats and Margaritaville yayahahahaya. Going to be near 70f again today with intense sunshine. Dry as a popcorn fhart unfortunately. Water issue starting to get very concerning this year. One of the reasons all of us live here is the weather , isn’t it yayahahahaya. Lock down isn’t all that bad especially at Christmas because its a “ home time “ holiday anyway. We’ve got a stash of food , toilet paper , hand sanitizer etc. that would impress even Walmart yayahahahaya. I’m a biomedical engineer, I make my own sanitizer products by the quart ...we’re good to go to lockdown this time. Stores still well stocked around here this time and the winter veggie , nut and citrus harvest in full swing. Plenty of everything and dirt cheap locally. It’s all good and just icing on the nice holiday cake. I have lemons and mandarin oranges in the back yard getting ready too.
Lots and lots for me to be especially thankful for this Christmas.... it’s not lost on me either. I hope you are having the same great vibes yourself brother timotur ... the very best to you and your family. ⛄️⛄️⛄️
You’re in a great place to lockdown Kaliber, I love scenery up there off 395, Mono and Mammoth, where I ski... one of the most exotic drives in N. America... that view of Owen Valley is something, coming down 395 to Bishop. Now that I live in SoCal, I’ll be coming from the South, so I’ll have a chance to check out Kings Mtn. Spectacular. Yes, it’s the best time of year to be locked down, short days, but enough midday sunshine to get some Vit D. And hunker down with some good, healthy food like you have collected. Stay strong 💪 , enjoy the day! -Tim
That’s exciting stuff over at Mammoth. I stay at that best western there for free off my wife’s work travel hotel points. I don’t ski , I’m more nerdy I guess. I’ve taken my gen 3 night vision scope and especially my thermal long range hi res imager to the thermal fields directly across from the turn into Mammoth and that creek state park thermal area down below. Man ... threze enough exciting thermal activity and fumerol spots in that field between the 395 mammoth turnoff and the plant to get anyone’s thermal hunting hunger quenched. Yayahahahaya gurgling mud pots , sulphuric steam fume spews ... smok’in hot ground ... wow. I’ve never found anyplace with such easy access and varied things to see , except maybe Lassen Volcanic park. You can actually check it out yourself , just go east on the mammoth 395 off ramp instead of west towards town. It’s immediately right there. Careful where you walk, some innocuous looking places can melt the sole right off your shoe. Yayahahahaya how’s that for a different perspective of Mammoth yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.
Yes, K, you're in thermal field heaven up at Mammoth. I've been over to that area you are talking about looking for the ubiquitous hot springs, and have seen quite a lot of small steam vents and bubbling puddles. It's basically a live volcano with quite a lot of thermal activity. Scientists thought it was going to blow back in the late 80's based on the sulfur and CO2 content in the steam. It's quite a volatile area. Good story about it here:
I saw video on a steam vent that comes right up in one of the ski runs. Like you said, it’s just beautiful in those parts and filled with natures treasures . those are a great little side trip on your way to the mountain. Peace big guy 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Lassen is pristine beautiful isn’t it buddy. Kinda out of the way but well worth the effort. I hope you , the wifey and LuLu .... and all your family have a great holiday season and let’s all hope that vaccine gets handed out quick. Going into total lock down again tomorrow night, L.A too , I guess it’ll make for a cozy Christmas yayahahahaya.
My latest trip down 395 was week before last bringing wife and dog Mateo and new truck down to Baja. 7 fun days on the road to our beach place here in San Jose del Cabo. Will stay here until vaccine is available in Oregon then fly back. Kitesurfing the last two days with friends and my wife loves me. How sweet a life is that! 🏄🏼♂️🏖
Just drove 395 for the fifth time this year from or to Bend Oregon. First on my motorcycle (Africa Twin AS) through Death Valley going to Arizona and hoping to visit Whimpy. Closures hit and we retreated to OR. This Summer were 3 separate trips to the East Sierras for backpacking portions of the John Muir Trail. A week out of Yosemite with my brother; then a solo loop out of Bishop; then with my wife above Mammoth (Reds Meadow). Fabulous!I am planning and hoping to complete the entire JMT next Summer.
Well good for you that you can still do stuff like the jmt .. I’m envious of your physical condition , dang nab it Yayahahahaya. I guess I’m lucky just to still be sucking wind and in condition to complain about it. A trip from my couch to the potty is an adventure nowadays. yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. I love that area out there tho ... the portal is a trip ... just when you think you’re really getting out in the boondocks, you round a corner and there is a restaurant, little trout lake, waterfalls and store, kinda of a shock first time. Been many years since I’ve been there. Wifey started gravitating more towards the casino at the Atlantis Reno in recent times . My wife and I saw a mountain lion sunning on a rock once in movie flats and I swear it was so large that it looked like it escaped from a circus.
WOW, those trees are huge ! Snow as well, we had a little snow yesterday. We are also in total lockdown (again) bring on that vaccine .Lets hope 2021 is a better year for us all,
I actually thought about you and Clint when I posted that picture. I have a different one that is taken from sitting inside the jacuzzi that peers thru a thicket of banana and sago palms at a wall thermometer reading 72f ( 22.2 C ), hummingbirds buzzing around the banana flowers . But .... I thought that could be mean , so I decided on the more seasonal snow jobbie yayahahahaya. Let’s all hope we can flatten out the curve before all medical systems collapse and get that vaccine distributed and start to end this world wide disaster soon. 2021 should eventually start the world back to normal ..we’ve all had our fill of lockdowns, masks and additional risks of death on top of everything else .... haven’t we.!!
I have whopping lots to be thankful for this Christmas , and I’m not overlooking the little things too. The core being me and the wifey ( the hammer ) ... same as you and Clint there. I know you and Clint have this dialed in solid, best holiday cheers from us to the both of you. 🌸🦋🌻🌼🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well .... my little sprinkling of powdered sugar on top of a dump truck load of composting #$&@ isn’t much , but every little bit counts. We’ve, all us brothers, got to accentuate the positive to balance out the truck load of grief we all have sometimes. Christmas is the best time for us to “ gather our loved ones “ and focus on the love of family and life .. isn’t it. I’m do’in it .... I hope you are too westof my friend. I hope all of us are doing it in this especially challenging holiday ( world sickness ) ... it’s being harder than ever makes it that much sweeter if we do.
Those are the big boys. I took that back in ‘16 before I got sick. Sadly, It’s been so dry this year , there is very little snow up there right now . Lots of catching up to do. 😀😀😀
Ah shucks ! I was hoping that was fresh snow . None here either so far just a dusting . We share the fence line with state property . It’s a fire pit of dead tees and brush . If fire comes ( from which way our prevailing wind blows) ..we’ll fly from this coop quickly . Manzanita ,burn hot ,scrub oak, juniper and pinyon pines all super dry ..we are enjoying the lock-in by moving dirt and rock plus clearing our hillside of fuels ,it’s a tremendous undertaking . Now if I had three strong guys with chainsaws it could be done in weeks . It might take us years .. but Its my wife and my therapy and gym . We are bettering this place . We love the nature around us . We have a project . Thank God for you brother . Enjoy love .
Getting out there in that fresh air and exercise is really good for you and I know you love it. I’ll bet even LuLu loves it yayahahahaya. Man it’s not like we don’t already have enough on our plates but those wildfires are a serious danger too. Maybe you could make a few artsy Christmas tree shaped piles of cuttings and decorate them for Christmas . Have a great weekend buddy 🌈🌈🌈🌵🌵🌵❤️❤️❤️
That’d be fun to keep him busy with a reward . But kinda like here tho ... like me growing veggies in the back yard in the veggie capital of the country. The farmers stands sells more veggies than I could grow, for a dollar or two. Far less than the cost of water to keep them alive yayahahahaya. Still its a fun and rewarding hobby. Off and on I’ve grown veggies for fun. Cannabis would be a good crop for him...... short growth cycle, sell primo buds for bucks to the processors for income .. keep the rest for stash. That’d be easiest. He could set up his daughter in a rural setting, get a card, and grow up to 99 plants legally. 😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍🌵🌵🌵
Glad they've let you out, " just stay'in " 😉. We too have snow, naturally more on the mountains, it some how looks to clean up all the mess in this world.
You've had Covid really bad in the states, terrible, we haven't done too well here in France either, but fortunately for us lockdown wasn't hard, due to the beautiful environment and my wife and I being totally unsociable 😆.
Here there are more cows than people, but even they wear masks, very considerate of them. 👀
Take care of yourself and enjoy those stunning surroundings.
Well ....... I might have climbed out a window ... but what the heck it’s all good. Yayahahahaya After 42 years of marriage, we have plenty of quiet time as well ( lol ) . 😂😂. ( thank goodness )
It’s good to see you here ... its good to be here. I hope your Christmas is a great one for you and the wifey and family. That vaccine should clean up the Covid mess in a few months, finally.
Love this you need a good sense of humour to stay strong l think. Wishing you all love & hugsBy the way l am on holiday in Tenerife enjoying the rays. Xx
Keep your chin up, that’s the best we all can do, that way you don’t see the wrinkles. Enjoy your holiday, just remember to take the tin foil cover off after midday. 😲
The skin I’m in reminds me of an oddly plucked chicken ,a strange mix of the Michelin man and a sharpei .. mostly smooth of all male body hair except for a random patch or an oddly long strand .
Sounds disgusting Scott, are you sure it's not the Thanksgiving Turkey you've been studying ? I am sure that you can help somewhere for that sort of thing 💊💊💉💉🛌🛏
If so you've got some explaining to do with your wife.
Give that skin back to the plucked turkey you stole it from , you’re wrinkling it.
Seriously tho ... what our skin looks like is the least of our worries buddy. Adt does do something to the layer of fat right under the surface of our skin that makes it have dense fine wrinkles and lumpy rolls in it. Got the same thing here, probably lots of us do.
How about a shot of Don Edwardo tequila? I Recommend it to any that haven’t tasted it . That and some of your ceviche will set me straight again? Ole’!
This thread is getting so big , it’s hard to figure out. I think you are talking about Tenerife. I had to look it up on Google, I’ve never been to the Canary Islands. I’ve been to Diego Garcia on the opposite side of the continent, yayahahahaya. Looks like Tenerife is Spain’s version of Santa Cruise here on the California coast. Hopefully the water is warmer there . Looks like a great place to hang out. My kind of location. 😀😀😀
If you read this before I changed it, I took it down ...TMI ..too much personal information. 😀😀😀😀🌈🌼🌸🌻❤️❤️❤️
That’s for sure, like someone said, we’ll all be glad to see 2020 in the rear view mirror yayahahahaya. Best to you and yours for the holiday season. 😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️
Those little men in there little white suits! Haha! We laughed at that as kids . At least we’re not in the funny farm yet . See what 21 brings ? I’m not going without a fight .
Covid makes it seem like the funny farm doesn’t it ? Yayahahahaya. It’ll be gone soon, light at end of tunnel coming. That was a funny song ...huh...? Yayahahahaya
Shucks ....yours doing so good, this Christmas will be very joyful for you and the crew , doesn’t get better that you are doing buddy. For sure you got the advent of 21 nailed. That even makes me smile for you.
There is beauty in cement. Its something I always appreciated since I was a preteen and used to visit my cousin in the city. I lived deep in the Appalachian boondocks as a person can get .... my visits to cement were wondrous. Appalachian city ghettos were quite an upgrade to me. ( they had television, stores and soot on the snow )
Remember those wooden crates with the wires around them .. that sat on the sidewalk under awnings... filled with veggies ? That wood was very fragrant, smelled so good almost like perfume. Orange wood or something similar.
I remember those towns well... While in the Army National Guard we had to invade them and round up all their citizens and crate them off to California...........
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

Connersville , Orange( my town in the 50s, about 11 miles west at what was the edge of the uncut as of yet, primeval forest ) , Indiana. Few people escape those places and when you do and when you go back for a visit, “ they “ look at you with a lot of suspicion and out the corner of their eye. Just say’in yayahahahaya been there , done that .😂😂😂😂😂😂
To California the land of milk and honey ...My buddy lives on fishing worm ridge in Vevay Indiana . Switzerland county the most rural and impoverished in Indiana.
The video is screwed but I get the inference. We had mostly hard core religious country music , same banjos and fiddles and tambourines. Didn’t get to hear much music tho, very little til I moved into the city and then it seemed like overload. We had a daylight only radio station that faded in and out. It started about 6 a.m. with the hog report and went to the DeKalb corn news report. All 40s big band swing music mostly, what there was of it. Every Sunday at the church they played live religious music as they whipped up to a frenzy of handling snakes, taking a sip out of the poison jar behind the pulpit, falling down in the isles convulsing speaking in tongues etc. I was kinda a wayward child, but got scared of the snakes .... they used to tell me that if I didn’t settle down, the Holy Ghost was behind a curtain that covered a closet doorway ... and the Holy Ghost would come out and get me yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. It was very very poor people , living a primitive existence off the land and the monthly welfare check. There was a lot of really good things about it as well. Most country folk didn’t have much but had good hearts which counted for a lot.
As a teen that movie scared the crap out of me . The only time I’ve squealed like a pig was in the ER with a tech trying for an hour to insert a foley up my pc tumor laden urethra . Finally they called in an uro md that used lidocaine which the nurses could not do without a dr . I asked them why did you brute me up like that ? . They shook their heads .
I just researched the town of Connersville, Indiana.... There was a picture of the town with a footnote that read: "In the event of a nuclear attack, nuke this city first".....signed "The Mayor".....
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

When I got sick , I sold my home nuclear lab and my well equipped selection of nuclear radiation sources and scintillation detectors. I loved to collect and catalog the spectrograph of natural sources of radiation. I could run a spectrograph of most any chunk of uranium or pitchblende and tell you what field it came from on the North American or African continents. Pretty geeky huh .. yayahahahaya. Pictures of the lab on my Facebook page. 😂😂😂😂
