Orgovyx stop working, PSA INCREASING.

Just talked to my doc. He wants to stop orgovyx and start me on lupron injections once a month with xtandi. Anyone ever been on this combination. If so what are the side effects andnhow is it working for you?

Orgovixx did not stop working. First line ADT alone does not lower your testosterone enough to be castrate resistant.

Your next treatment should be Lupron with Abiraterone. That will lower testosterone to nearly ZERO.

Xtandi should be saved for when you really become castrate resistant.

Not sure I agree with this. I’ve been on Lupron, and Lupron alone as my ADT for 25 months now and my labs consistently show my testosterone as non detectable. I realize everyone is different but not everybody needs additional meds.

OK, you're different!!

woppaginny isnt you.

Its obvious he needs a 2 nd line of ADT added.

Your last paragraph seems to conflict with what others here have said (that Xtandi rarely works for long after Abi fails). Also many docs start patients on Xtandi first, for whatever reason.

Been on it for 9+ years now. Snuffy Myers prescribed Xtandi while I was still castrate sensitive, PSA was undetectable for 6+ years and just recently became detectable but still under 1.0. SE’s are typical, fatigue, brain fog, headaches and BP issues. These can be countered with exercise, medication and prayer.

I was on Lupron w/ Xtandi for a while. Quit Xtandi due to high blood pressure/cardio concern. Also tried Orgavyx for a while, reverted to Lupron due to similar concern.

Have been on that combo for 5 plus years. I'm not gonna lie, the fatigue can be brutal at times. But, it has kept the beast at bay.
