Any New Systemic Treatments on the Horizon

We are chasing the microscopic PC cells via PSMA scan and last December, I went through 5 radiation treatments. PSA as of June 22nd was 0.55 which indicated PC cells still present since I had an RP in Jan 2019 and subsequent treatment and ADT. I am more that a little distraught as I am a young 70 year old getting ready to marry.

thabk you

If you are not on ADT currently you can check my thread entitled "Bicalutamide Maneuvers".

There are several for metastatic castration resistant cancer

- ADT plus Abiraterone plus Olaparib vs ADT plus Abiraterone, even in patients without HRR defects. Results had been favorable to the triple therapy. They finished a phase 3 clinical trial.

Many on clinical trials:

-Zen 3694

- FOR46

-CTT1403, new ligand for Lu 177

-AMG 509 immunotherapy with a BITE molecule against steap 1

-AMG 160

-HPN424 immunotherapy BITE targeting PSMA

-Car T Cell PSMA 101

-ST101

-Compalisib and Rucaparib

-ARV 110 anti androgen PROTAC ("protein disruptor")

-ARV 766 anti androgen PROTAC

-JNJ-69086420 Actinium antibody targeting hK2 receptors

-Veru 111 oral chemo

-TAS3681 Anti Androgen

-CCS1477 affects bromodomain

-Bay 2315497 Thorium trial at MSKCC

-AMG 509 BITE antibody

-PT 112 for cancers with PTEN loss

-ODM 208 similar, but more potent than abiraterone and it may work in cancer failing abi and enza

-CAR T PSCA cell immunotherapy

-JNJ-75229414 CAR T cells

-Pt-112 antibody with platinum

-Ipatasertib for PTEN loss cancers

Pretty sure there are many others in clinical trials.

Google the compounds for information if interested.

The problem for people with advanced cancers is that most of these studies are not phase 3 studies and there are not preliminary results. Most of them are in phase 1 or 2.

So how long for each phase to be put in practice?

it is very variable, but it is measured in years instead of months. IMHO phase II are good studies, they already know the dose of the med, there are some previous results which give you an idea about adverse events and efficacy and one gets the treatment.
