Sudden swelling in arms and legs ?

hello All , I just seen my MO this past Wednesday and everything is good . labs are all good . 1 day later which was yesterday i noticed my arms and legs feeling tight and slightly swollen . Im on Eligard , Zytiga , predisonone . Im wondering if the predisone is causing this , Its been 18 months on these 3 meds but why this swelling now ? . Anyone have this light swelling of arms and legs ? Thanks

Lymphoedema? Odd you'd have it in all limbs at the same time though. Maybe water retention of some sort.

It may be not enough prednisone. Talk to your MO about increasing the dose.

Tall One , I just came back from 6 hrs in the hospital for tests . Chest x-ray , ct scan of middle torso , and ulta sound of both legs from my groin to my toes on both legs , 2 different blood work on my heart . They found 0 . So thanks again I will call MO on Monday morn for advice . SemperFi, JJ

What is your BP and potassium?

Tall One , BP is at 145/80 . My Potasium is 4.6 from 1 week ago prior to my V.A visit I went to the ER yesterday on the urging of my Wife . I had .eGFR , Automated Diff , Basic metabolic Panel , BNP , Complete Blood Count w/Diff CPK Total , CT Abdomen + Pelvis w/ contrast EKG , High Sensitivity Troponin Blood , Liver Function Test , Magnesium Level , US Venous Duplex Ext Lower Bilat to rule out blood clots , , XR Chest 2 views . All came back normal . I still have the same issues today The Dx was Edema .

I sent my MO at VA these results also today . I should get her answer on Monday . Could be the pred ? Thanks Again Allen SemperFi, JJ

Hey reconjj I just went through a similar experience a week ago. My ER doc said how very well I looked all things considered. Spontaneously my R>L foot and legs swelled my body felt swollen. This on Xtandi just off Zytiga, Gave me a water pill PRN no salt ect. Have not clue

some I adjuncted them with some natural support and diet. Feet and ankles look ok and and continue to be a bit swollen. I tried a supplement Hydravax and seemed to help. next Water Out by Now. Prolonged use of lasix scares me a bit

Could be any number of reasons. Give your PCP a notification. GOOD LUCK.

I wish I could help you. I was on the same meds, but not Ellegaard at the very least if your oncologist can’t answer as to why you’re having swelling them strongly suggest you get a second opinion from somebody else

Hi Reconjj. Thanx message. Been on Zytiga almost 3 years started on 1000gm daily one hour before eating breakfast after 2 months it effected my liver reading so left off a month since then been on 500gm daily last 2.5 years PSA undetectable have 3 months H T injection. I do feel that after 2 years on Zytiga my fatigue has increased I do excise daily walk a 2 km my worst problem is H T injection in humid climate rapid sweats but take sage tablets to help good luck Reconjj. 👍🏻
