when we originally stated looking I contacted TownePlace Suites by Marriott Houston Galleria because joes house says all suites and shuttle to clinic. I called to ask about airport shuttle and the clerk was super nice, very polite, checked on it for me and said yes, they have this.
When I checked my booking later it showed just a queen room so I called and was transferred to the manager. It turns out it isn't an all suite hotel but he was going to upgrade us for no cost. I asked about how to contact them for airport shuttle and they don't have that, they also don't have shuttles to clinic so please double and triple check the information you find on that site. I just keep thinking about how expensive it would have been if we had found all this out after arrival

Thank you for pointing this out to people that are going to visit MD Anderson for the first time. Our experience with shuttles was that there weren't any hotel shuttles, the car that MD Anderson talks about is way more expensive than an Uber or Lyft. This leaves the only options to rent a car at the airport, which if you stay close in you won't need, or take an Uber or Lyft which is what we did.
If you factor in the additional cost that you would incur from renting a car, maybe you can add that into a hotel that is closer in. All the hotels within the area have shuttles to MD Anderson and will also have shuttles within one or two miles from where they are; 2 mi is plenty of distance from the medical center area for you to get to things like restaurants and drug stores and groceries.
Thanks. The hotel shuttle only goes to the medical center, nothing else. I discovered that the md Anderson rate at enterprise is $30 more than their airport shuttle. Since I'm a member and that gives us points to future rentals and I am not restricted to where I go and hotel parking is free, we are going that route. We will use the shuttle to the clinic to save on parking fees though
Helpful info! We live close enough to Houston to drive to a hotel, but it sounds like you think taking a hotel shuttle to hospital is better option than parking fees. Did your hotel shuttle drop you only at one place in the MDA complex? Trying to eliminate any extra stress!
Shuttle goes to all the clinical. I found the shuttle driver unreliable. Our 7:30 ride arrived at 7:50 for an 8:00 appointment. Not pleased. Also they don't mention that it stops running at 2:30
