It is with sadness that one of the tests for the ORIC-944 trail came out with a cancer in bladder. That kicked me out of the trial.
I don't know what is next but this complicates future treatments. Above all else, I have survived this disease for 31 years. For the most part it's been good quality life. I'll keep up the good fight.

i know two people who removed their bladder cancer. One was in CA Andy the order was at Georgetown university medical. Let me know if you want me to try and track down their names.
One was at Georgetown University system and he used a technique that put chemo into the bladder and then he and other nurses shook his body for several minutes, to ensure that the entire bladder had been saturated with the chemo. The chemo was a certain temperature, around 109 degrees, as well. I don't know the name of the doctor there and I don't know where my former colleague is. We used to sit near each other in the Pentagon.
The other doctor was in the San Diego area. I just texted my friend who had that bladder cancer treatment. I'll let you know when I find out the info on their doctor or hospital.
I'll keep up the good fight. My son and I are big fans of yours. In some of our darkest moments, we have found encouragement in your replies. So, when I read of your determination to fight on in spite of being knocked off the trial, I was reminded of what someone said: "If you want to change the world, you must be the very best in your darkest moment". --William Harry McRaven. Let's change the World.
I'm really sorry Magnus, another kicking, after 31 years of pc, you are an amazing fighter, I pray that you've got enough left to do battle with this one too.
You Got This Magnus!!! You are one tough WARRIOR!!! You've fought 31 years!! That's AMAZING!! I'm s0o proud you've lived mostly all good quality years. I know you can get many more quality years. I'm routing for you all the way🤗 🌻Jackie
Magnus, after 7 years of pc, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Having 2 cancers is bad luck, but they're treated quite separately and one doesn't affect the prognosis of the other (as far as I know)You will remain an inspiration!
Hey, Magnus! It's been a long time since last I wrote you. I've had Gleason 9 stage IV de novo metastatic prostate cancer since 2015. A few years back I thought I had added bladder cancer to my mix, but it turned out that it was metastatic prostate cancer in my bladder. They cut and cauterized all the growths in there and, so far, they haven't grown back. I'm guessing your cancer there is in the urothelial cells. You are a model for all of us men on this site. You'll deal with this just like you've dealt with your prostate cancer: victoriously! Nobody can keep down the "Canberra Kid"!
TransUrethralResectionoftheBladder, or TURB seems like that would be the correct name for what my Surgical Urologist did for me. Last time they looked in there, via Cystoscopy, there were no growths reoccurring! I'm supposed to notify them if I ever begin peeing blood as, I guess, that's the sign that they're back. But... so far so good! Thanks for your interest, Naples2021!
Sending you whatever you need most- strength, calmness, light, hugs... Your posts and replies have been of such light to so many here. Hoping we can all be that for you in these replies💙
31 years......... that's a hell of a lot of bananas (one every day)....Let's hope and pray that your bladder issue is not Magnus but Anti-Magnus........
Sorry to hear they found cancer in your bladder. The cancer in my prostate entered my bladder too. Chemo and ADT had no effect on the cancer in my bladder but a TURBT and VMAT radiation worked. I hope you have success in getting on top of this latest challenge, cheers 😎DD.
"I'll keep up the good fight".... I am sure you will, you have been an inspiration and source of solace for so many of us hear...you have put up a great fight so far and are destined to do so going ahead.
very sorry to hear this but you have courageously shown how to cope with PC so I have no doubts you will do the same with BC. Best wishes and best of luck
Hi Magnus. Look up 'bladder cancer' + ' hyperthermia' + 'Professor John Kelly'. Seems to be a good solution and should cost as much as a can of beans... Or two....
Hyperthermia - absolutely!... Sit in the hottest bath (with Epsom salts) you can tolerate until the water cools... Do it as often as possible... Your bladder region is submerged and may prove beneficial... I do this 4-5x a week...
