Anyone out there know about a new ED drug called EROXON? It’s been used in EU and recently approved by FDA for use in USA and will be sold OTC. It’s applied topically, that’s all I’ve seen about it. Wondered if any of you in EU have used it?

According to this cnn.com/2023/06/12/health/e...

the “….the product could launch in 2025”

Is that a pun?

$32 for four single use tubes/doses makes it quite a bit more expensive.

I assume you are referring to this, which was actually developed as a PLACEBO while investigating something else (!)

From the MedPage Today article (for those who don't have access):

"The non-medicated hydro-alcoholic gel was initially tested as the placebo comparator in studies of a nitroglycerin gel the company was developing, but in a large phase III trialopens in a new tab or window it turned out MED3000 worked just as well.

...In its announcement of the marketing authorization, the FDA noted that the volatile components of the product -- alcohol and water -- "evaporate to create a rapid, localized cooling effect on the glans penis followed by a recovering slower warming effect. This stimulates the nerve endings leading to tumescence and erection."

Possibilities for some, not for others. After an RP I have to use injection of TriMix so this is most likely not of use for me. Everything developed is always worth checking out when available and as always check with your urologist.

Hydro alcohol? And it works by cooling followed by a gentle warming. Hmmm.Wouldn't that be pretty much the same thing as dipping your tip in a cup of alcohol? Or even just using one of those refrigerator cold packs?

I don't know whether to scoff or do a happy dance! Sure would be an interesting use for my bourbon 😂
