Had a blood draw for a Foundation One test. Test center got back with Onco and commented not enough DNA for an adequate test. Guess I am confused. Can anyone explain?

Foundation One No Results
The Foundation One blood test looks at the DNA in your blood from tumor cells. The problem is that tumors don't reliably slough off cells. That's why I prefer tests of tumor tissue.
Liquid biopsies are state of the art 2023! Inform me if LBs are unreliable! Puleez.

I said "The problem is that tumors don't reliably slough off cells. That's why I prefer tests of tumor tissue." So if the cancer tumors aren't shedding DNA, there is nothing for a blood test to pick up. Whereas, as somatic test will always be able to look at cancer cells as long as the tumor is big enough to sample. The trade off, is that the blood test is an average of all your tumors, whereas a somatic test can only sample one tumor at a time (it's a good idea to biopsy more than one).
shit, another freaking biopsy!!!
