52 weeks of creatine and they will measure not only the performance markers but also if there are signs of progression/regression of prostate cancer. And being done on metastatic patients, we should get some reliable info about creatine and bone metastasis.

Hi Maxone, This will be an interesting study to watch. I'm doing resistance training with instructor 2 times a week and some on my own. In the past I've been big on cardio and still do quite a bit. Are you taking creatine? It doesn't look like there are any side effects or downsides to it.
Hi! Took it in my youth but did not notice a huge difference (to be honest I have always been a natural bodybuilder, I had 20" biceps and I didn't even take protein powder, but that's another story 😜 ). Actually there are concerns that creatine could promote bone metastasis if already present, as well as working against PCa if there are no bone metastasis present. As for iron, vit B6/12, E and other stuff...sometimes the effect depends on the stage of the cancer. For now I can spare myself the risk, I am working out 6 times per week with rather heavy weights (well...compatibly with ADT of course!), but this study would be great as it's targeted to metastatic patients and bone metastasis are really common. Plus they are supposed to give us the ad interim results in 6 months. But there are many guys on here that take creatine with no problems, everything is subjective at the end of the day.
That's good to know about creatine possibly promoting bone metastasis. Like most supplements, I doubt if there are any studies to confirm this butI don't want to add any unnecessary risk.
Well this study should confirm the opposite (non promotion of metastasis), which would make us happy anyway! They already know that creatine benefits the non metastatic PCas, I just want to wait a bit.
Yes, I don't remember where I have seen it but in general there are no concerns about creatine and cancer in general if there are no metastasis. This study will give us a better perspective.
I took it back in 2012-22, about 5 g daily to raise my blood levels, which had dropped below normal. I took about six months with no issues: low PSA, no growth in bone Mets.
When blood levels of creatine climbed to high end of normal. I started back a month ago because levels had dropped below normal range.
I think this is the study I posted about some time ago, good to see that are going ahead. Note that there is a similar one that seems to have started in Australia ~4-5 years ago. Hopefully more info about that one soon. Here's the Aussie link from 2019:
