After reading on here about difficulties finding Aberaterone and getting automated calls from Walgreens telling me that it would be delayed due to it not being available, I went and saw the manager of my local pharmacy. He said he would look into it and let me know. A couple days later, he called and told me not to worry as he has it under control for me. Yesterday I went in to pick up my monthly supply ($95 after meeting my deductible). He brought out 4 bottles to show me what he was able to get, they were all from different manufacturers. He said he was putting them in the safe for me so I would be covered. Lucky me as I'm their only customer who uses it.

That's customer service.
All the major pharmacies suck. I have been treated like shit by all of them. Fortunately we have an independent pharmacy affiliated with the hospital. Everyone who works there is great. It seems that their policy is to respect customers and go out of their way for them. When I was headed off to get doxytaxel number 6 I realized that I had forgotten to take dexamethasone. They figured out a way to give me a couple based on previous script so I would not have to drive 3 hours to home and back. Good luck getting this from Safeway. Find an independent pharmacy if you want to be treated like a human. Our pharmacy also mails scripts if we will not be in town for a while. Would Rite Aid do that?
I didn't even get notified by cvs specialty, they just didn't ship it. It took my insurance company jumping on cvs to get a different brand.
I talked to Apotex, the manufacturer of the brand I usually get and they didn't have an in stock to ship.
Shortages are the fault of CEOs and corporate boards of directors, not the government. These shortages are business decisions.
