Hello all, looking for a bit of advice. My dad’s had 4 sessions of Radium 223 but is feeling generally tired, low energy and is losing weight and new small spots have appeared on a scan. Doc has now suggested no more Radium and trying Cabazitaxel now. He had enzalutamide but this stopped working too. It just seems like nothing is working I feel so low and for him. Guess I’m looking for some hope as to whether Cabazitaxel can turn things around? He’s never really any kind of remission - is this unlikely now? The last scan showed 4 mets but seems there are more now.

Ask for a biopsy - maybe there is a targeted therapy or clinical trial.
Unfortunately, treatments fail. I'm not quite in that position at the present time. All my treatments failed, so I'm on Pluvicto. Once that fails I will go onto cabazitaxal. The latter has a 4 month survival rating. One wonders whether it's worthwhile considering the side effects.
Thanks both for your replies. He hasn’t tried Pluvicto yet so that could be next after cabazitaxal. Once you get to this point is a remission still possible? Or do remissions only happen with the early hormonal treatments?
If he can handle it physically.... ask about combining cabazitaxel with carboplatin
