My husband got the consult with the Radiologist for the Luu-177 and we had it on Zoom but he informed us that Luu-177 is still not available and we should feel free to reach out to other facilities. I requested that our VA oncologist give us a referral to UCSD and VA Los Angeles and she said we would have to be referred as a "traveling vet". She can't tell us if they have access yet. My husband is stable on Arberaterone and prednisone but has already used failed on Xtandi and docetoxyl. Phoenix will keep us on the list but I'm wondering if I should start investigating other alternatives. The doctor seemed to think it was a good idea.....

Luu-177 available in Southern California? It's very limited in Phoenix
I believe it’s being done at University Of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Im not sure I understand the part about “traveling vet”? I’m a vet and have frequently used the Community Care Program. I live north of Santa Fe and it’s an 85+ mile one way trip to the VA Hospital in Albuquerque. Using the program I’m able to get services locally.
The VA hospital in Phoenix should have a Community Care department as well as a patient advocate department. If you’re getting services at the VA in Phoenix, you might try reaching out to the Community Care people for guidance on working through the system to possibly get approval to have this treatment done outside of Phoenix.
I mainly use the VA patient portal secure messaging so there is documentation.
