Round 2 of Pluvicto Complete

Well folks, round two went pretty well yesterday, hats off to the great caregivers at the University Cancer and Blood Center in Athens, GA. All blood work etc was good. Had to wait a while on some FDA person in New Jersey to approve releasing the dose. My tax dollars at work.

I heard a couple of good reports on guys ahead of me with one having a recent clear PSMA after the fourth round.

Side effects minimal, rode the dexamethazone (sp?) train into the night but all is well this morning.

Only issue now is getting Blue Cross straight, whose first statement said I owed $145,000 for first treatment. I muse of the old axiom regarding getting blood from turnips.

Fight on, hope rings eternal.

what is the dexamethazone for? Just curious as I am in the SPLASH trial and will be receiving my second Lu177 dose in about 3 weeks

"rode the dexamethazone (sp?) train into the night" Oh yeah, I've ridden that train too. No stops on the line.

But Dexamthesone does really help with side effects so it's worth it even though it keeps me up sometimes.

I'm scheduled for Pluvicto in January. My doctor said he's had reports of nausea with his patients. Have you had much nausea with Pluvicto?

How much?? I read somewhere that the cost was £13,000 a cycle.

I think that number represents all seven cycles but not completely sure

I'm sure that amount from BSBS (X) was just the amount before your insurance negotiation. The cost will be picked up with your insurance and the amount will be lower. I hope you get a great response with this therapy!

I have had one Pluvicto infusion and will get the second one on Monday. Nausea has been a minimal problem. Mostly if I feel it coming on I head it off with some gulps of Ginger Ale. Ginger gummies work well too. I wish you the best.
