alright dang-it β¦. Bottle up some of that overachiever mobility juice and send it up to me. Maybe I can fly a drone down to get it too. Geeeesh β¦. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.
Great goβin as usual. Merry Christmas buddy , I know you have those big family plansβ¦. How lucky to still be able β¦..huh.
I'm tryna do as much as I can with adjunctive therapies. I'm kinda anal about streaks and accomplishing stuff. (Type A, overachieving AZN thingie and Middle child syndrome)
So, the Conqueror Challenges focus me on getting to each milestone on the Virtual Hike. As you hit certain mileage, you receive a postcard or will have them plant a tree.
Yes, I feel so Blessed to be able to get out and hike, still work, and travel.
Mele Kalikimaka to you and The Hammer.
Btw, biopsy got moved to 2023, and a lil bump in the road as the PSA jumped from 6.9 to 9.2 in a month. I have like Taliban in prostate growing
Hey, dunno about Incredible, Just hopelessly devoted to keeping PCa at bay as long as I can. A durable remission. Cuz, I ain't ready to go yet, got a lot of livin to do
I'm so glad that I may have had an impact on someone by sharing my saga and maybe inspiring/elevating a fellow victim to thrive/achieve.
I thought that you were might play β hopelessly devoted to youβ Linda Ronstadt ? You lift the tide up brother . In what is otherwise a pretty dismal affair here . Truly you are an overachiever to th max . Inspiring! ππ€π½β€οΈ Luv ya man! πβοΈ
LOL, I did a head fake/feint there. Mahalo my Bruddah, but Mad props to you for your contributions and Kaliber too. I'll be Moe, you wanna be Larry or Curly or Shemp π
A rising Tide lifts all Boats or in our case our Moods
I grew up in the 60βs with three older brothers β¦ they were the three stooges , I was the fourth . they tortured me with the stooges antics slapping around . Good ol days!
yea β¦ your sticktoitness is a blessing buddy , serving you well . If physical fitness helps, you are all over that.
I saw that psa stuff in another post you made, β¦ well you do have a bunch of additional resources and possibilities remaining in your KCA ( kick cancerβs a$$ ) toolbox , still β¦ I really like how you are able to be upbeat and positive about everything. That goes a looooong way helping things be better. Positivity helps us guys a lot bruddha. Iβm hoping for good things for you in the new year.
Yea, I'm kinda driven. When I was with my son in HB, Sis in Law had listened to him on a PodCast and near the end the interviewer asks for three words to describe what you want to show the world and he said: Curious, Generous, and Intelligent
So, Sis in law said dependable, trustworthy. I then said: determined, and wanted to steal Bryan's curious, and Fun-loving
RO said hopefully some targetable mutations can be found in the biopsy. The main plan is 8 weeks of 5 days/week of MRI guided IMRT for like 44 treatments. That would be down about 45 away and that will hamper my pt load which means $
Yea, stiil have Lu-177 Prostate lit up big time on PSMA, Provenge, and maybe BAT Bipolar Androgen Therapy.
Esp post PC diagnosis, I've become footloose and fancy free, singing in office like a lot maybe even feelin Groovy π youtu.be/IxwEI5aUL_A
Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy
Hello lamppost, what'cha knowing
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't you got no rhymes for me?
Doo-ait-n-doo-doo, feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy
I got no deeds to do, no promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morningtime drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you, all is groovy
Kal, I love you, All is Groovy
Here's to a Wonderful New Year for you too Bro. Next Spring maybe I can drive up and give you a BroHuG
YASS dig that Song too. This song is a Fav too, not a running one tho, is what one of my longtime patients says she wants at her Funeral. It's kinda apropos on this Forum :
Mahalo nui loa, the Conqueror App connected with my Mapmyrun is a great motivator to get miles in. I'm just a lil bit goal-oriented or just I'm Orientalπ
Congratulations dockam. ππ»ππ»ππ»Those virtual routes look like a good way to motivate mileage for training. But for me must be linked to a real world hiking goal. Still working on mine for 2023. (Tahoe Rim Trail, Sawtooths and JMT section hikes backpacking.
That myokines study you linked is very interesting. Exploring it further in other related posts.
Walking is my daily baseline. But not sufficient alone. So Iβve added βRuckingβ, walking hills with weighted backpack once a week. 20% of body weight is 30 lb for me, about the weight of my max for backpacking in Summers. I figure if brisk walking is around 4-5 Mets intensity, Rucking is around 8-9. Peter Attiaβs The Drive podcast has good info on Rucking. Keep it up!
Oh, sweet about Rucking it, that's wonderful that you do that. I have degenerated L4/L5, so lumbar issues. Maybe from a combo of marathons. driving up here and back 140 miles in the old days, and being a DDS sitting kinda hunched over as I worked on patients caused it.
Rucking will really help with bone density issues if you're on ADT, and of course it's huge cardio workout too.
In 2019, my #1 son, his wife, a friend of theirs, and myself did 5 days on the Camino Frances in N Spain with backpacks on. We did 69 miles and got certified as 'Peregrinos" Pilgrims afterwards
Here's the Google Photos album if you wanna peruse it
Well doc! Your stamina and drive really surprised me .. You donβt mess around! Paz y amor a Mateo y esposa en San Jose DC. ππ»ββοΈπππ
Congrats on finishing the Great Wall Randy. Many wishes for a fantastic trip home to your island Ohana.
I'm envious of your trip, but so glad you are the one taking the trip as it may mean that your batteries get recharged before the next stage of your treatment. At only two years in on my own fight, you are an inspiration.
I identify with your wackiness, since diagnosis I too have let go of some inhibitions (although this is not to everyone's liking), and I have had a lot of fun along with the struggles. You rock the islands!!! And, enjoy some awesome fresh grindz.
PS - If you get out and about while you are in Hilo, I love the MacKenzie State Recreation Area and Laupahoehoe Beach Park. The power of the Ocean on the lava rocks make both feel spiritual to me
Mahalo Bruddah, Imma see my 93 yr old Mom, younger Bro said she needs 24/7 care and has to be in a nursing home, but I'll be able to visit and "Talk Story"
Y'all can experience my trip home vicariously,as Imma grindz like Crazy and post here
I've always been pretty irreverent, but nowadays I DGAF (don't give an F) esp in the dental office, Singing, Laughing and just embracing Life

well ok β¦. You talked me into it. Went this morning to the Great Wall and traversed about 15 miles of it near jiiping. Here we are taking a lunch break on one of the towers. Lots of trash here , Iβm surprised and cigarette butts.
Later I drove by your shop on F street β¦. Kewl
With my oculus VR rig , I can go anywhere in full 3D , full view in all directions β¦. if you can turn your head there, so can I . Totally amazing stuff bruddha β¦
If you want me to β can β the doc shop stuff let me know buddy β¦
those β restaurants β next door or just up the street, those wafting aromaβs drive you crazy. I have coffee ( precovid ) at a coffee shop in the tower district and a nearby restaurant leaked fragrances ( intentionally ) that made you crazy wanting some yayahahahaya.
yummmmmm β¦ I had miso with ramen noodles, green onions, greens, and shiitakes myself yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. Great minds look alikeβ¦. Yours looks better
