...reading Dr Mulhall's Book, Saving your Sex Life, on page 219 and found out something surprising about TET therapy...after a "prolonged" period of time you are dependent forever on supplements, shrink your testicles and will no longer produce your own TET...did anyone else know that? Its like telling you you need a blood transfusion then highlighting the minor detail that after a few sessions you wont produce your own blood chemistry anymore...I have been on ADT for 21, going on 24 months and my TET may not come back/ fully back...so I was hoping at least to go on supplements. Now this...let me know if anyone out there has any experience with this and if Dr Mulhall is correct...TNX
I don’t have experience with replacement therapy, but I do have experience with working out hard through ADT. It’s very effective and whether you are on a fixed course of ADT, lifelong intermittent, BAT etc I highly recommend it.
Being fit and strong is very advantageous for faster and better T recovery. Mulhall is of course correct about replacement-long term use eliminates your body’s ability to make its own. It’s the law of most drugs when used long enough. Some feel it’s worth it. I’m not one of them.
Smurtaw looks pretty good, I’m not impressed with the model.
I was on TRT for about 5 years pre PC and no such effect on balls. Sounds like the old steroid stories. And problem was not T, but E2 not adequately controlled by NP doc.
I went from 205 to 227 first year of treatment (age 48) Now at age 50, 175lb with a 24bmi. “Get on living or get on dying “ It’s a lot of work but the choice is an easy one for me .
Since going off lupron, estrogen treatment and diet/supplement and exercise protocols.
