Good day my friends. I have a Lupron shot scheduled this month and wondering ,with this virus and doctor offices being crowded, would it hurt to postpone my shot for a couple of weeks? Myself,I’m thinking it might be a good idea. What’s your thoughts?
Lupron shot: Good day my friends. I... - Advanced Prostate...
Lupron shot
Get the injection. Practice social distancing, even if it means standing in the waiting room, away from other folks. Bring sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer and use liberally.
This won't be over in 2 weeks. Purell when entering and leaving. Bring napkins for door knobs. Stay 6 feet from others.
Suds: I am wondering the same thing. I have a monthly Lupron shot scheduled Monday. It could be worse later, so I will probably go ahead and get it. We have about 50 cases of COVID in my county (San Diego), which probably means there are ten times that many undetected carriers in a population of about 3 million, so I think it's a safe bet to take the risk at this time as far as being out in the general population. At my healthcare facility, the Uro office is separate from other general care buildings, that is a factor too.
Thanks, I will go and stand ( if I have to)......no real reason not to go.
Slip in and slip out for the shot .
Exactly what I did today ... wifey picked up more Xtandi and vikes from Kaiser private concierge pharmacy while I got my 3 month shot ... in and out quick, no waiting ...building nearly empty ... instant service. Didn’t have to touch a thing and only got near my injection nurse ... no one else at all. Barely saw other patients. Wasn’t half as scary as I expected it to be. None of that usual sweaty, sticky , crowded over packed Kaiser stuff happening now. Impressive experience.
Peace brother ✌️✌️✌️
Got my next Lupron shot this morning. Normally jam packed Kaiser was nearly empty. People entering the building being triaged at the one open entrance next to the contaminated tent. No one gets in for elective or casual office visits. Used a napkin to operate door levers and push elevator buttons. Only two other people in injection clinic ... got in instantly and out very quickly. Didn’t have to touch anything ... workers opening doors for you.
Get your Lupron now when it’s due, don’t put it off. Make sure to use your Purell liberally entering and exiting the building.

I have a Lucrin monthly shot scheduled for 2pm tomorrow. To get this done and with minimum contact with doctors and other patients and staff the clinic has asked me to enter temporary premises in car park at rear which I presume will be a tent with a bed to lie down on. So there will be no delay.
I'll do my 60km cycle before lunch, then have lunch and read newspapers and have injection on way home at 2pm. The angelic nurse Amy giving injection will probably be suited up fully, so it will all go well tomorrow.
I've had ADT since 2010, and probably don't need it at all because it stopped working in 2016, but the risk of delay or quitting ADT is that my old balls might begin to make testosterone again and fuel Pca growth. The ADT is fully funded by Medicare. So I always just get it done.
Its going to be a nice fine warm autumn day here,
Patrick Turner.
I think it is better to take the Lupron shot as scheduled. Don't just postpone your treatment due to COVID-19, just make sure to follow preventing measures when you'll go to the hospital.
Don't touch everything unnecessarily, including lift buttons people, taps & not even newspapers. Get the shot immediately and return back home asap with safety.
It is best to confirm the situation of the hospital with your doctor, and what preventive measures you can use to avoid COVID-19.
But still, if you're worried & want to postpone it then it is best to discuss with your doctor beforehand.
Best wishes!
I had to stop by my MO yesterday, everyone was siting 6+ feet apart in waiting room, no visitors allowed to go back with patients, they even were sanitizing pens that people were using, had a clean container and dirty container. Extreme caution was the norm. I would get the shot.

Got to go for mine soon too . I will be there too important to me to stay alive fighting APC Corona will have to be a battle for another day if need be. Listen to our Brothers be safe and practice what they are preaching.
My next shot is April 10, I think Kaiser will have things under control. The urology floor is very quiet, expect the same.
Now scans are another matter, you have to pass by the urgent care area to get there. No scans scheduled though.
Kaiser here in Fresno doing impressive job being careful. Can’t even get in without special needs ... nothing routine happening. Halls empty .. waiting rooms nearly empty... zero contact with other patients.. lots of sanitizing taking place. In and out quick. I felt very safe and well taken care of. Frankly a big change from production line - jam ‘em in there Kaiser. Kaiser taking an aggressive stance which is very reassuring.
Peace brother ✌️✌️✌️
I had to go to two medical clinics yesterday for my job.. Both buildings were pretty much deserted. As long as you don't have to go through an ER you probably won't see too many people.
Get the shot then take a shot of tequila myself I drink a shot of Jameson's one of the other could be doing just fine
First of all.... ask if they make house calls? second can you get the shot online? finally sit in your car and ask them to call you on the phone when you're next.... Kungflu........
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

You should NOT postpone your shot. Time is a factor in treatment(s) and an unnecessary delay potentially affects you. This s not a time to panic of course, but look out for number 1 (you).
