I've only been on it for 3 months. My routine has been to take it when I wake up as you need to do it on an empty stomach - 1 hour before eating or 2 hours after eating. I then get out of the house to take a 4 mile walk, make some breakfast and then head to the gym 4 days week. I think that routine has helped to reduce the side effects.

My routine is similar to Huzzah1, I take first thing in AM, have a coffee and head to the gym then home for breakfast and on with my day

APC with mets after 8 years of remission. Had RP 2013 July and was clear until 2021 when it had advanced and mets.. PSA was 239 in Sept 2021 down to .19 3 months after initial treatment of the trio ? . Went to .1 after6 months. Latest PSA was .026 taken last week. Praying the treatment will continue to be effective.

I used to take it mid morning 2 hours after breakfast and one hour before lunch. I now take it when i wake up and take breakfast an hour afterwards. Basically this way it frees you up for the day

I’ve been taking Zytiga which is same as Abiraterone for 22mo and I always been taking it in morning with 16oz of water, than I rest for an hour. Been working great for me, some side affects not bad though. Going on a holiday in 4mo. Good luck to you. One thing I pass on is to EXERCISE.

I’ve been on Abi/Zytiga for 2 yrs. I take it before bed (usually but not always 2 hrs after eating). Also Lupron-3month and 5mg Prdnisone ((was 10mg, slowly cutback to 5mg read side effects long term not good). My reason for bedtime is fatigue is a major side effect so I sleep off some of that. Prednisone can make you alert so I take that in morning. PSA at Dx 47, latest is my low nadir at 2 yr mark of PSA .022.

I have been taking it in the morning for most of the last 10 years, except for when I was on 3 "vacations" from treatment.

Thanks to all who chimed in. I just started this morning. Took it with water and am enjoying a coffee before a run. I'll take my prednizone about an hour later after a run or walk. Cheers
