1st round of chemo

Has anyone had trouble controlling their blood pressure. I am in the radiation line. Ra223 for bone Mets, Sbrt for spine Mets Over the last 6mo and now chemo . Over this time period my blood pressure has gone way down. Light headed dizzy can hardly walk. I am handling the chemo with the expected nasty stuff. But the blood pressure problems are dibilitating.

Could you please fill out your profile?

Are you sufficiently hydrated? That could cause issues. Does your primary care doctor have any suggestions for you?

That happened to me at times during chemo therapy.I was prone to be under hydrated but the low blood pressure, dizzy, could, would occur even when hydrated (hypotension).

8 or so months after my chemo therapy ended I still occasionally experienced it. I stopped taking Flomax and that seemed to have eliminated the episodes.

As mentioned please discuss with your Dr.

Sorry to hear. Please let Dr. know now.

If you have a blood pressure cuff at home you could take a reading too.

I noticed that the low BP reading associated with hypotension only occurred while I was experiencing symptoms.

I had a ridiculously low BP reading when I had a chance to check it and it was something like 80/35.

My BP bottomed out on me about half away thru my 6 chemo cycles. I was on BP meds and my Cartologist told me to stop taking my meds. It held out good until I was finished with chemo and then I needed to go back on the BP meds. Now that I am on Xtandi, they have had to adjust my Meds again, it has gone up and seems harder to regulate. Just my experience. thanks
