Meaning of SBBG

After visiting my oncologist yesterday for my 3 monthly checkup, my Testosterone level was shown to be <0.5 L and my SHBG was 48. After almost 7 years since metastatic diagnosis and treatments of radiation, chemotherapy and ADT (6 monthly Eligard) since 2016, I have not had my testosterone levels tested until now. I am not sure what the above results mean. Would be pleased to hear any input about what this. My psa has thankfully returned to <0.01 levels since my cancer came back on my T10 vertebrae early last year. The SBRT radiation has obviously done it’s job!!

What are the units?

There were no units shown after the SHBG (I typed SBBG by mistake!!) result of 48. That is why I was wondering what this meant.

Yes, you really need to contact your lab to get the units for T and SHBG so that we can try to make some sense out of this.
