Seek Urologist in TX that does the Transperineal biopsy of prostate

I am scheduled for a TRUS prostate biopsy on Aug. 24 in Fort Worth, TX. Not my choice since the TX Center for Urology in Fort Worth only uses the TRUS method.

There has to be a urologist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that can do the Transperineal biopsy.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Just good luck👍 waiting for results of Transperineal (TP) Biopsy of Prostate, myself, very involved process, for possible Prostate Cancer, sorry in Northern Ireland, but started in 2019 pre pandemic!

Did you try UTSW? I think you may be better off with an experienced urologist giving you antibiotics than convincing one to try transperineal for the first time. Finding the right nerve for the nerve block may take some practice.

Thank you. Seems everyone does TRUS.

I know Mayo only does transperineal now, but there aren't any in Texas.

I am a patient of UTSW and I went thru radiation treatment. Call and get a consult with them.
