It's not a cure, but it seems to be able to predict the evolution of the disease, allowing for a more targeted approach...

Which Liquid Biopsy ( Biomarker ) . There are so many out there and measure different factors , Decipher , 4K , PHI , SelectMDx and on and on .?

Many Urologists maintain these are pre-cancer markers to reduce the need for a Biopsy .

The standard to measure changes in your cancer by-passes Biomarkers and goes to MRI after detecting a rising PSA ( Doubling time etc ) Then another Biopsy following any concerning MRI findings

The research was published here: cell.com/cancer-cell/fullte...

They are focused on predicting the evolution, not just monitoring it, which is far from standard. :-)

The less invasive, the more people you can screen in an easier way and maybe you can detect also PCa that is not expressing PSA or that is low.

I attempted to read this very technical research paper .

To me it is way too complex for this forum . Too scientific

In a nutshell: Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) are tiny particles that cells release into the blood. These particles protect RNA from breaking down, and that has always been something desirable as getting usable samples of RNA has always been hard. By studying the RNA inside EVs, scientists can understand what's happening inside the cancer cells almost in real time, and they can always have "fresh" biopsies without the trauma of an actual biopsy.

This is good, but they suppose to be able to use it also for prediction and to make therapies more effective, think for example about metronomic therapies.

Thanks for posting this. I have been experiencing PSA in the 0.04 to 0.07 range 15 months after radiation.

My MO today said that prior to my next 3 month follow up we get a FoundationOne blood biopsy to see if it would shed any light on the very slow but upward trend of PSA. Thought you might enjoy at least one young MO thinking outside of the SOC box.

She obviously was willing to try something different. I agreed based on having read this post some time ago. Thanks!
