Radiation complete

Feeling great!

20 sessions. Having the fiducials implanted turned out to be of great benefit as the machine stopped numerous times during treatment to reposition due to internal movements. ( it checks every 10 seconds for alignment )

only mild side effects from radiation-

diarrhea

mild fatigue first week , took a few naps

able to continue with lifting and biking but lifts are getting more challenging.

All blood work is back to normal ranges as of 7/15/22

Currently on Lupron and abiraterone+ prednisone, started 11 months ago.

Plan to stay the course for at least 18 months total and or 24 months if side effects remain manageable.

The power of her love can not be underestimated!

Coco 330 - Lupron 3

It sounds like you have good reason to be very optimistic. Lots of effective treatment and still mobile and active . That’s good stuff buddy. Guys like us could hardly ask for more ( short of a cure ) good for you big guy. Keep it going ….

😁😁😁

A cure is on the near horizon, hard to figure which direction it will come out of.Yes, we are very lucky for so many reasons.

Kaliber in reply toScout4answers

I like the way you think buddy , like it a lot… optimism is good medicine. I might have a BIG bucket of worms I’m wrestling …and that can be “ very “ defeating- depressing at times , but I just go back and look at my initial offer of care of inpatient hospice … and remember the agonizing look of horror on both our faces … and “ know “ how lucky I am. Boy howdy …

Btw: good drugs help a lot too yayahahahaya yayahahahaya.

❤️❤️❤️

Don't limit you time on ADT treatment. If it still working in 18 months, stay on it.

Very happy for you. Of course lifts are harder, but stay with them no matter what! When you finish the ADT, having stayed as strong as possible will definitely assist T recovery, which as we can see from your photos will come in handy.

I'm running the same course you are Scott, although I am 18 mo ahead of you. I just received my first psa with a < on Monday, (<.1). You can check my bio for details. No RP. I chose RT + adt. I'm at 22 mo adt with 2 mo to go. Stay the course!

Ellagic Acid & Protocel

would you elaborate on these please

TIA

Burk profile image
Burk in reply toScout4answers

I'm reluctant to say much about Ellagic Acid on this site. It is an extract of Pomegranate or/ Red Raspberry. Most of the research that I have seen comes from Asia. I'm not skilled in posting links so you may need to do your own research. Google "Ellagic Acid for Prostate Cancer"

I dropped Protocell. Can't do everything!

thanks I understand.

I am adding pomegranate extract to my fruit smoothies

Congrats Scout & Coco, when did you Ring the Bell? You mention bloodwork good as of 7/15/22.MSK asked me to wait 90 days for bloodwork. Said killing PCa will give off a lot of PSA. I waited, and have now seen 3 new lows (.03). Said confirmation SABR is working. Scans next….soon. Said 18-24 mos to fully kill the prostate and all contained inside. I rang bell Jan 20th. 6 mos ago.

Best, Mike & Barb
