Looking for your wisdom, good people.

What does “Spleen: Small splenule” mean?

I read about the need for a sulfur colloid scan to determine if it’s cancer.

Nothing else to note on the CT scan.

PSA is 5.12, up from 4.32 on 4/8, up from 1.6 on 12/10.

Bone scan shows no evidence of metastasis.

Thank You, God!

We see the oncologist Wednesday.

I’m happy to hear any thoughts.

Splenule is a benign condition where spleen tissue is found outside the location of the spleen.

In relation to the cancer metastases status with a PSA that is increasing you could request a Pylarify or a Ga 68 PSMA PET/CT. Bone scan and CT scan are notoriously inferior in the detection rate when compare to the PSMA PET/CTs. Early diagnosis of mets could mean an early treatment of the condition and perhaps a better survival,

Thank you. I did read a splenule can be a benign growth, and that it can be mistaken for that when it might also be a cancerous lymph node.

We’ll ask for further testing!

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK5... This might help.

More than I ever wanted to read about for a spleen, but sound like Cateydid should be OK.
