Lupron vs. Coco- who will prevail?

Lupron it promises, to take away my desire,

yet Coco continues, to light, up my fire.

.

To measure my pleasures, one must know the measures.

To which that you go, to fulfill all my pleasures.

.

My body lacks T, no question of that,

Now you start most encounters, my libido’s gone flat.

.

You kick start the action,

and soon I gain traction.

.

You apply some warm lotions

Then start soft hand motions.

.

Your use of witchcraft, does always amaze.

Back in the saddle, we are like old days.

.

Even without, the milky wet jaction,

You know that I get, such great satisfaction.

.

I am, as you know, a guy who keeps score:

Lupron has zero,

Coco; two hundred and four.

Awesome! Did you show her this? I think I'll try my hand at something like that for my wife. She'd love it. It might remind her that when I can get busy when I'm on ADT it is because she is more powerful than my hormones. Nature vs. Kitty? Kitty wins again.

Looking at Coco it's easy to see why she beats Lupron.

Thanks Russ

Coco’s beauty is way more then skin deep.

I like the way she thinks and acts and have deep respect for her abilities, intellect and accomplishments.

I have written her around 40 poems in the last 2 years, she has seen a version of this one.

To paraphrase the Righteous Brothers, she is my soul and inspiration.

We had only been seriously dating for about 9 months, when my cancer became aggressive and got out of the capsule. I said to her “ You did not sign up for this program when we started dating. I do not expect you to take on this problem that I am going to have deal with and it’s unknown outcome.” She did not miss a beat and responded “ We are in this together, end of conversation “

Here is to the Women who inspire and stand by us.

Can’t wait to hear Nature v Kitty.

Love your attitude.

I have been thinking, and want to ask:

What percentage of participants here on ADT treatment require chemicals (cialis etc) to get an erection to perform?

I dont after being on eligard for 1 year. Normal or not?

in reply toJac_J

I don't but I have Kitty.

sounds like there are some guys here with good luck in the erection department still. Sildenafil stopped working for me in less than a year after starting ADT. Tri-mix injections are making it almost 'woody' enough to use, but I'm wondering where that inch plus of length went. my wife still has all those great parts, but her husband's equipment is totally shut down by ADT. maybe part of it is depression, but my kiwis have shrunk to olives and my salami has become a cocktail weenie and being less than a man sure doesn't help in the bedroom.

Sorry to hear this, reason that I do not want to be on it any longer than I absolutely need to

Scott:

Great tribute to Coco.

In addition to your poetry, I also have to pay homage to you personally -- for finding, attracting and keeping such a fine woman. Tip of the hat.

We’ve corresponded before, and sex after prostate cancer treatment continues to be a huge bonus for me as well. My wife and I have been together for 43 years. She still turns me on like no other. After I started showing signs of a weakening erection, we decided to get after it while we still could. While I cannot always perform like a 17 year-old, my libido remains strong, and we have learned to get creative. Last time I checked we had made love 87 of the previous 90 days, and we have had several days with multiple sessions. Yeah Baby!

After 18 months on Lupron and Zytiga, my wife has the power to arouse me, but my erections are not always as frequent, powerful or long lasting as I would like. To help compensate, I periodically supplement my natural libido with generic Viagra, and I occasionally use a pump (to warm up and increase blood flow – not for the actual intercourse). While this helps, maintaining arousal is a growing concern, so I have an appointment in a couple of weeks to look at incorporating Alprostadil or Trimix. My plan is to not let go of this fantastic life bonus, even if it eventually just gives me the pleasure of pleasuring her.

Along with jac-j-sp, I would love to hear from other how they manage to keep the sheets warm despite this disease and our various treatments.

Glad that you and Coco are still making sweet music.

in reply toCarlosbach

I keep the sheets warm. But 87 in 90 days! I might do twice a week.

Nothing like the motivation that comes from use it or lose it

in reply toCarlosbach

I hear you. Brain, muscle, sex, ...

You're using it like a teenager. Awesome!

Carlosbach profile image
Carlosbach in reply to

My biggest regret is that I didn't know how to use it like this when I was a teenager. In those days it was Step 1)woody, Step 2)charge! If I had known this shit I would have worn it off by now, but died happy 😁

in reply toCarlosbach

Lol!!!!

87 out of 90, Carlos you da MAN!

Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks also for a glimpse into my potential future RE: Lupron.

I am very concerned about the LT effects of Lupron and intend to quit taking it soon after my radiation treatments.

High T looks like it’s effectiveness is equal to ADT as far as average time to BCR or cancer progression. The upside is you arrive in much better health and have a better quality of life until PCa has to be dealt with again. I am thinking one would be much better able to deal with the therapies that come next. Chemo, Lu177 or the immuno drugs.

in reply toScout4answers

Agreed. High T kills the androgen insensitive cells. But the androgen-sensitive ones go to town. A major benefit is strength of your body to deal with chemo/radiation whatever.

I'm planning on doing BAT until radiation. I'll time the low phase so that I'm in it for 4-6 weeks prior to starting radiation. I might do one BAT pulse during radiation and perhaps continue BAT after radiation. I'm not sure about much of this and plan to discuss with my MO.

Thanks Scott. Wish I could take the credit, but my lovely wife deserves it all. Hell of a partner to have in a hell of a time.

I'm interested in your treatment plan. My first oncologist was very conservative, so I went outside (OHSU) for a second opinion. The OHSU oncologist took another job, and now my oncologist is retiring. I'm waiting to meet the new doc before making any changes, but I will finish 2 years of treatment in October. If my labs and scans are still clean at that point I'm going to look at options that leave me with some T.

Scout4answers profile image
Scout4answers in reply toCarlosbach

The only plan I have right now is viewray radiation in the next few months. Interviewing ROs in the coming weeks.

in reply toScout4answers

As you know, I'm doing BAT but when and if it fails, likely radiation. I'm going to discuss viewray with my MO.

If high T were as effective as ADT, why do ADT????

Scout4answers profile image
Scout4answers in reply tomaley2711

That’s where I am right now, following SOC until I finish radiation. I have confidence this will buy me 5 years before BCR, as I seem to be responding positively so far to Lupron and Zytiga.

Keep dancing and loving each other . I’m %100 team coco! 😎👏👏👏

I can completely empathize, as I’m on ADT and am still maintaining a very passionate relationship with a woman I’m madly in love with.

Which begs the question, how much of a man’s libido is hormonal driven, and how much is emotionally driven? While I no longer have testosterone, I am just as in love with and passionate toward my woman as I’ve always been, maybe even more so because she’s stayed with me through this.

Some industrious psychology PhD student should write their dissertation on that subject, and shed some light.
