Docetaxel/Taxotere stopped after 1st Infusion & Radiation

After chemo went radiation therapy within few days to treat tumor in spine shown MRI. The PSA went from 24 prior to chemo to 33 after 3 weeks after chemo. Fatigue was off charts and neuropathy/ numbness in feet / legs became worse after chemo/ radiation. Considering Xofigo infusions to treat tumors in spine causing neuropathy and numbness in feet and legs.

First round of chemo (2019) for my husband -on the 5th dose PSA went up.Second round (2021)- he's on the 3rd dose and he's not responding. PSA is going up each dose. Praying he will respond this month!! Scans are in a couple weeks to see if there is a mets response.

Docetaxel should be discontinued when peripheral neuropathy develops. This is clinically distinct from spinal neuropathies so that needs to be sorted out. Any future chemotherapy should be a regimen different from docetaxel with less PN aggravation.
