WBC good -Leg Pain Bad

Hello everyone. My CBC this week had the best numbers since April before we started Xofigo.

The bad news is my right leg is hurting really bad. I can limp around the house but it hurts. My MO gave a prescription of morphine and I have a PET scan scheduled next Wednesday. Looking for recommendations. Should I try to get an MRI possible nerve issue? It really just started early Wednesday morning. The pain is in my thigh and sometimes all the way down my shin.

Any and all thoughts or ideas appreciated.

Radiation from Xofigo causes inflammation=pain. A Medrol Pak and some advanced NSAIDs may give you relief until the inflammation subsides.

Thanks TA! Is it normal to happen5 weeks after the last dose? The 6th treatment was October 29th

I would've expected it sooner. Sometimes bone reacts with to radiation with overgrowth. Maybe the PET/CT scan next week will tell you more.

Thanks Nal. They did an X-ray of the hipAnd femur that showed no fractures. I’m leaning toward a pinched nerve or spinal issue

I like Nalakrats response. With that said I would in addition find a doc that can check your ilio-cecal valve area and treat the corresponding joints and soft tissues.

Sounds like sciatica to me ; I’ve had it for years in my left leg. It’s on and off with me. For the last few months it’s been on.
