So sorry he is going through this. You and your husband are in our thoughts and prayers…

He is blessed to have you by his side…just as I know you feel blessed to have him with you…

Godspeed,

James

Praying for you and for your husband 🙏 It is unbelievably hard to watch our loved ones suffer. Do not worry too much about the sugars if it is not concerning the doctors - that would be more of a long term issue. Let him enjoy everything he wants right now. May you both find mercy and peace through the pain and suffering.

I am the same age with similar condition but not yet so advanced. My father also had same condition, during hospice he lived of chocolate mini-brownies and polar pops. 6 months of hell yet 6 months living with him I wouldn't change for the world. If you haven't already have him record family history and stories. I learned soooo much

You’re doing all that you can do . Love him. I’m sorry for the suffering. Lord have mercy!🙏

May the Lord have mercy upon your husband and take away all pains and give you more strength to provide the maximum care for your husband without compromising much on your own health. I pray for both of you 🙏.

As a nurse, to me it sounds like a normal progression. It makes me smile to hear his appetite is still voracious!!!

My husband is now on Dexamethasone and Eligard, having failed all other treatments.

He mostly loves the sweet food, which he has always limited.

I’m just happy he is still enjoying food.

Hang in there , your deep love for him is obvious ... I wish you both the best 🙏🏽

If he had chemo before did he lose his taste like some reported? Any mouth sore during chemo?

Praying for comfort for both of you. Sending an electronic hug, if that is helpful.

Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. There is another group that is called Prostate Cancer Caregivers - some on that forum have been where you and your husband are now. Remember to also take care of yourself right now. Wishing your husband a peaceful transition

Just be there for him, as you have. Keep him comfortable. Unfortunately, we still have no cure for stage 4 metastatic. Maybe read to him? Let his mind drift off to better times and places. Often what we enjoyed in our younger years is what we enjoy in the later years. Know that he feels your Love, and you have done what you can.

All my best,

Mike

It's tiring I bet..... physical and emotional.... Do whatever you can to make him feel comfortable. Let him eat all the sweets he wants.... Tell him you're his number 1 Sweetie.(which you are). ...God Bless you both...

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
