I am having Lupron injections. I have been to my doctor- GP complaining about dull headaches and slow thinking. Could this be a side effect of Lupron? From Burnett 1948.

Lupron Side Effects
It is possible. Studies were having trouble determining this because this can also be due to age. If it is caused by Lupron you can try to mitigate these side effects using estradiol patches for women.
Thanks GP24
Hello Burnett1948, from Aries1949 here in OZ. Yes I had one Luprin shot along with casodex every day & did it nock me. Headaches, brain fog, could not stay awake, fatigue, hot flushes, things I never experienced before, but, it reduced PSA from 18 to 1.6 so it worked.I stopped the casodex after 3 months & luprin & the headaches went.
Now 10 years later on Firmagon & not many side effects so far, PSA from 19 to 3 in one month.
Hang in there & search for less side effects & QOL!!
Yes in MY case on Lupron for about 3yrs I have felt a great deal of brain fade. 79yrs old this month so may be difficult to judge the exact cause. Exercise your body and your mind more than you think possible seems to be the best medicine.

The docs " haven't heard" about a lot of the side effects of Lupton, but they are many. Weakness, fatigue, and brain fog. My uro just said that it slows everything down. If something weird happens, Lupton did it. Mike
In a word, yes. The side effects of Lupron are many and varied. Brain fog, hot flashes, joint pain, wt gain, loss of muscle mass, screwed up blood chemistry, zero sex drive, genital shrinkage, and so on. I had them all, in spades. Hope your experience is better than mine.
The only thing that seemed to help was exercise; high impact with a trainer.
Good luck to you.

These are common side effects from ADT.I think it's the reason that anyone on these meds must participate in vigorous exercise if medical possible.
Headaches are rare, but "brain fog" is quite common. I couldn't read a book or watch a movie for two years because I couldn't follow the plot.
For me hot flashes and slight dullness of names places etc, but otherwise it’s been pretty easy on me
Yes, brain fog is a common side effect. I've had 3 or 6mthly Eligard injections +daily 50mgs of Bicalutimide for 3yrs. No longer have brain fog but general lassitude as the day wears on. Difficult to separate age from that.
On Lupron for 7 plus years. I'm 76. Headaches have not been an issue. An inability to focus on a task was a problem around the 3rd year but only lasted 6 months. Fatigue comes on at any time for no reason and is becoming more common. I try to walk and work with light weights every day. Still have hot flashes but not as often and intense as they were 3 years ago.
I am 76 years old. I've had Lupron injections, one every four months, for three years. Some hot flashes, some muscle tone loss, but no brain fog.
Periodic brain fog is the worst of the side effects for me. I try to get most of my work done when I feel like I've got a little bit more brain power. I deal with the fatigue through weight lifting.
