Has anybody had sciatic problems after receiving lupron shots? This has happened to me twice. Only on my left side, going on my sixth year. Keep the faith brothers and keep on fighting.

Lupron side effects
Interesting observation on your part. I too have what may be sciatic pain on my left side. It seems to have mostly left by now, after receiving my Lupron injection in late Nov...pain began in Dec..lasted into Jan. I always receive the injection in about the middle of the fatty tissue of my stomach. I attributed it to possibly the tumour on my femur, or perhaps the way I slept (prefer my L side). I can rule out sleeping position, as eventually the pain left and I still spend most of the night on my L side. For what it's worth.
Just some personal sleep trivia. I sleep mostly on my right side. Sleeping on my back is a sleep apnea proposition. I also minimize sleeping on my left side -- I find that it can trigger an atrial fibrillation episode.
I had it happen twice. At first I thought it was just something I did but the second time it happened only a day after again I made the connection. Luckily it doesn’t happen all the time (knock on wood!)
Yes, once, after the insertion of Vantas. Disappeared after a couple of days of intense pain and hasn’t returned. The supposed sciatica was on the left side. Let’s report any reoccurrences. Leswell and spouse
Only issues I am experiencing are the fingers lock up in the morning and have joint pain. Get a lupron shot once a month
1. When you get up, run your fingers under cold water, then hot, then cold, etc. for a couple of minutes.
2. Do LOTS of hand exercises. Opening and closing your fists is a good one, 1,000+ times per day. Do it strongly or use a rubber ball or hand squeezer.
3. Sleep with clenched fists. It's hard to do at first but you get used to it.
Worked for me, though you have to keep it up. If you stop exercising altogether the pain will return.

CRMP: Funny, I just visited orthopedist for sciatica issue-after a week of suffering. Yes, it was left side, yes I am on lupron shot, but it's been one month since shot. doc's X-rays said I had the spine of an 80 yr old; I replied"that's great, I'm 82!" He put me on methylprogesterone and one day seems to have helped some.
The basic theory: don't get old-everything starts to wear out! Over the years I have had occasional sciatica attacks; muscle relaxants or time worked. Cause/effect with lupron? Can't say, may depend on EXACTLY where shot hits.

Yes. Second six-month shot seemed too close to my right hip joint had me severely limping from joint pain for 36 hours. Two weeks later I was hit by wake-up-at-night pain on front of right femur that faded after 48 hours.
Tj,They always rotate left to right. Problem always happens on left side
