Initial Results From Parb Inhibitor

Started Lynparza early June. PSA was doubling every 6 weeks. First blood test showed PSA stabilizing at 16.4 (was16.4), and alt phos dropping from 150 to 114. Creatine however went up to 1.47. Due to that I had a second blood test two weeks later. Creatine dropped back to 1.3 (good news, mine usually runs around1.28), however PSA went up a little to 17.1 and alt phos 120. Doc seems ok with results as he said its real early and parb inhibitors work slower on PSA at times. He's happy that everything has stabilized a little. Has anyone had similar experiences with Lynparza? Is this a decent result. I seem to worry all the time lately.

Those are very typical results - and mirror mine almost exactly. Lynparza seems to stabilize things for a while. Some tumors will shrink, while others at the same time may actually increase. It is slow working.

My husband’s PSA was slow moving down initially. He had a disruption in taking it for a week early on and we thought that it may have been the reason for the results. Anyway he’s continued to take it . He’s been on it for ten months and his PSA is now so low it’s considered undetectable.
