I'm 54, had RARP and IMRT, and am on the Eligard/Abiraterone regimen. My PSA has decreased from 340 to 0.63 over eight months. I've noticed that some people tend to have an immediate drop. Does the time to nadir indicate how long you will stay at this point before failure? I thought I had seen a study that said it does, but I can't find anything on it.

PSA Time to Nadir
There has been quite a bit published on this subject. PSA time to nadir is considered to be an independant factor in predicting overall survival. Patients who have long slow declines to very low PSA values <.2 and TTNs greater than 1 year are considered to be in the best category. Here's an article about it, but you can do a search and there are many more.

Thanks! Not sure why I couldn't locate it
I did read one study that ended with same conclusion but added if a quick drop to nadir was above like 99% it was good as well. I would not be able to find that one again without a lot of searching though. I did all of my reading on the subject about a year ago and realized I can't change my TTN so now time to look forward.
slower TTN is better if nadir is high. But a great response like yours is even better.
