I just had my PSA test today (8/21/20) and the number is 1.25 as compared to 1.69 on 3/19/20. I was diagnosed with PC in July 2018 with Greason score of 7 (4 + 3). I had radiation treatment (SBRT) at UCLA in October 2018.
I have enclosed my historical PSA from 2012. Please note that I had a couple of PSA Bounces from 10/19/19 to 2/18/20. I am guessing that my PSA Bounce was caused by prostatitis which seemed to go away after I took Antibiotic in June'20.
PSA Nadir is a graded parameter ...there is no fixed point at which it can be called good or bad. General rule is "lower the better"
In your case, the prostatitis may be causing confusion as even after treatment with antibiotics , there may be residual infection contributing a little to your overall PSA.
One should not depend on PSA alone when assessing effectiveness of treatments. Other biomarkers such as ALP, CRP, LDH, Albumin, Hb%, NL Rati, PL Ratio and LM Ratio should be checked and put together to get a composite picture and that can give a more accurate conclusion. Also, ability to tolerate physical exercise and overall general health should be also taken into consideration. A Nadir of 1.25 is not bad, if it was above 4.0 ,I would be concerned. Best wishes.
Looking at this and your prior posts, it's not clear if you do or don't have any metastecies. Can you please address that, at least to the best of your understanding?
