He needs to see a urologist. This could be an enlarged prostate or prostate cancer. He may need a simple trans urethral resection (TURP). It is an easy procedure,
Yes it seems symptoms like enlarge prostate enlarge and it affects pee flow 50% compare to before so does it can be treated with medicine only or need surgery??
Hi Harsh. Just an advice - please do get a PSA test done as well. My father also had an enlarged prostrate, the urologist suggested an operation but a general physician suggested Flodart+. No one suggested a PSA test and once things became bad and we got a PSA test done we realised he has prostrate cancer as well which had spread to his bones.
If its just an enlarged prostrate it can be managed by medicines but a procedure might relieve the condition for good.
I'm equally as old as your father and had the same condition. I didn't act on time, hoping for it to go away on its own. But it didn't. When I finally went to see my Urologist it was a lil too late . I was dx with stage 4 PCa with bone mets (ribs and sc). To be on the safe side your father should see his urologist ASAP
Yes I already show my father to urologist and pcs lvl is around 1-2 so urologist say no worries just take medicine and throw medicine my father getting well he feel his bladder is emptying now and burn is gone now after 1 month need to show urologist and after then urologist decide..
