Hello again friends. I am recieving Zoladex once a month. Over the past 3 or 4 months I have been suffering from swollen feet and ankles. Pressure on the área leaves a deep impression. My creatonine levels were normal in a recent blood test. Any thoughts on possible cause?
Swollen feet and ankles: Hello again... - Advanced Prostate...
Swollen feet and ankles
I have been on Zoladex for almost 3 years and have not had that problem. I hope you can find a solution.
Could your salt intake may be the cause of your swollen feet and ankles. Have you tried compressed stocking and water pills. I am having similar symptoms. I get some relief from wearing the stockings.
Regardless of cause get some high top compression socks. Not real pretty but they work.
My feet and legs swell painfully during hot weather or extended periods of sitting.
First noticed with heart drugs 20yr ago and again with Lupron and Xtandi.
There are some drugs to counteract but socks as needed are better.

I too am on Zoladex, but 10.8, three month implant since April, 2020. I too have had swelling in feet and ankles, but have found it to be associated with salt for me.
Hi Joe, I get swollen feet and ankles do not know if its my heart recently had open heart surgery or the ADT, but compression socks are great and there is even cool looking ones, give them a try they are like an energy booster. Hope they work for you. Less salt and loosing weight are important too if you have excess weight. I find that when I am back to my fighting weight my feet and ankles start behaving
Hey Rick, where do you get the "cool looking socks?"
Hi I buy in amazon.de because I am living and working in Prague , but I use them for tennis, jogging, long walks and even around the house.Thet are not very expensive and they kind of last forever, these are ok amazon.de/-/en/Compression-..., cant find the other type but these are well priced and comfortable
Swelling can be caused If you have had any lymph nodes removed. This condition is called Lymphedema.
My swelling goes down if I’m moving or sitting with feet raised. If I sit to long without them raised they swell. Walking then reduces it.
My history and experience are similar: Gleason 9=5+4, radiation, ADT for many years. In the last several years, I’ve had swollen legs (especially ankles), apparently lymphedema caused by destruction of lymph glands. It would have been best to attack it early with compression stockings, elevation exercises, and massage.
Have you discussed this with your Cardiologist? I ask because in my case and 10 years post PCa treatment, I noticed the same swelling and pressure dimples slow to respond. It was indicative of fluid retention as I got older in age. With medication, I am able to evacuate the excess fluid. I have no idea if there is a relationship with the new generation of cancer drugs and fluid retention, but I would start with a Cardiologist who treats this type of condition. Good luck.

Congrats on the good post treatment results!
I've recently completed my treatments, 20 sessions of IMRT + Brachy. Now dealing with swollen ankles. My RO says he's not sure of the reason so waiting to see my GP. Would you be kind to share what medication helped you with the excess fluids?
Press your finger on your ankle area. Does it leave a dimple. If so, then fluid retention. See you cardiologist. I take Lasix and Potassium Chloride. They are paired and must be taken together. Told him about the dimple test and he immediately put me on the drugs.
