I have completed 3 Xofigo shots with the PSA doubling every month ( PSA 47 at present) & increasing bone mets, as per MRI.
I would like to switch to Lu-177. The nuclear medicine physician administering the Xofigo said I should wait six months to get the Xofigo out of my system before beginning another radio pharmaceutical (therefore Lu-177.) Is this true or just one opinion?
History: I have stage 4 PCa diagnosed 2.5 years ago and have had Docetaxel ( 5 sessions), Lupron (continuously), Zytiga ( failed), and now Xofigo( 3 sessions with monthly doubling PSA).

In reviewing my disappointing Xofigo numbers & MRIs, my oncologist brought up Lutetium as a possible next step . Nothing definite about where or when. When I find out more, I will get back. Thanks Allen.
Really appreciate reading your deduction, Nalakrats.
The well-meaning nuclear medicine physician may have just been citing a generic ultra safe interval. I will look into this further & if I get credible info will report back.
