Abiraterone or Zytiga and Excessive G... - Advanced Prostate...
Abiraterone or Zytiga and Excessive Gas. I recently switched from zytiga to the geberic abiraterone. I am experiencing excessive gas.
No reason to be scared. It's just like peeing. If you can't do it then be scared. Perhaps you are not married. When I let go I tell my wife "someone's at the door" or "your phone is ringing" etc. I'll be farting here all week. Don't forget to tip your servers.
Are you saying that when you switched from Zytiga to generic abiraterone, you experienced a substantial increase in gas and farting? If so, this obviously shouldn't happen if the generic is in fact the same formulation as brand Zytiga. Like many others here, I've made that switch, and I've not noticed a gas increase. However, I have a lot of gas (usually just a lot of farts, but occasional belly pain), which I attribute mainly to borderline constipation associated all the drugs I'm taking plus old age. I minimize the constipation by doing all the things you are supposed to do (high-fiber diet, drink plenty of water, exercise, etc.).
A m o told me it’s the hormones
Gas seems to be a way of life as age advances. I had it on Enzalutamide and it has increased on Abiraterone generic but then I have an 80 year old gut that probably is missing some enzymes. The good thing is my spouse has it too. A further test of marriage but it has worked for 58 years for us.
I am and only have been on Eligard. Since I started, my wife calls me "Sir Fartsalot". I try to blame the dog, but he just runs off.
You might have hit on something. They recently switched my Lupron to Eligard! That migjt be the culprit. Thanks for citing a medication. I received many “fart” replies but all without reference to a drug and therefore, totally useless for my purpose. Thanks again. Stay healthy.
