No question here, just an update to share. I just finished my 6th docetaxel course of 10 (yeah, they do get a bit rougher as it goes on) and got CT scans today. MO's were curious as my PSA has simply been fluctuating around 50 during the chemo (+-10). Overall I guess "stable widespread osseous metastatic disease" is good news as is "Unchanged hyposense hepatic lesions".
RESULTS
"Impression:
1. Increased size of an enhancing mass in the prostate extending into the
bladder base, concerning for locally recurrent disease.
2. Stable widespread osseous metastatic disease.
3. Unchanged hypodense hepatic lesions, likely treated metastases."
WHAT I DO TO TRY TO DELAY THE INEVITABLE
I laugh a lot, love a lot, and smile a lot whynotsmile.org .
CLIFF NOTES: I'm doing SoC (did zytiga, provenge, erleada and now docetaxel), Care Oncology Protocol since 10/20, and am attempting metabolic pathway blocking with diet (IF and pescatarian low carb), specific supplements, and exercise. I'm 3 years in on a 2-5 year dx and still asymptomatic with exception of my bladder getting compressed by my ever expanding prostate.
