I just discovered this site and I hope to gain much from it.
My husband was diagnosed with prostrate cancer in July 2019 and finished chemo in October of that year. Xtandi was prescribed in July 2020. Since then his PSAs have been 9.1, 5.4 and yesterday’s 7. We have a phone visit with his oncologist next week. What questions should we be asking?

I'm guessing Lupron is already being used. Treatment between Oct of 2019 and July of 2020? Xtandi has worked for me for 3 and a half years. What has the lowest psa been? It took over a year for my psa to drop to 0.1 Blood tests can give you clues. Alkaline Phosphatase can help monitor bone activity if he has bone mets. Darryl's videos should help a lot.
Thanks for the reply. Lupron is not being used. The treatment was Xgeva and Trelstar injections in Fall 2019 and again in February 2020. One, I’m not sure which, was given at that time due to dental work having to be done. Then COVID hit along with our oncologist leaving. The last visit with him was a telehealth visit in April. No tests or injections were given. By July, we were assigned a new oncologist who prescribed the Xtandi due to the 9.1. Lowest PSA was 3.7 after chemo in October 2019. The videos were worth the watch, I agree.
Please tell us his bio. Age? Location? When diagnosed? Treatment(s)? Treatment center(s)? Scores Psa/Gleason? Medications? Doctor's name(s)?
