My dad started Zytiga and back on lupron in august and his PSA has been going down but is it going fast enough- he gets it every month and it went from 2.33 sept 1.39, oct, .50 nov, .32 dec, .24 Jan and now .22 for Feb

Is that ok or should it have gone down this month more

I wouldn't worry yet. The test is potentially subject to a lot of 'outside' influences that can mess with the results on way or another. I stayed at .2 for 3 months and then down to .1 for 2 more months before going down to zero.

Several studies show the longer it takes to reach your nadir, and the lower your nadir is, the longer your “remission” will last. So don’t worry as long as it continues to move in the right direction.

Plus it’s monthly which before it seemed to go down quicker cause it was first timeOn lupron and also it was every 6 months

Down is good no matter how big or small the drop. As long as his PSA is below 1.0 and his PSA is dropping, rejoice.

It's like the opposite of an erection.....so up is bad and down is good.
