I am experiencing swelling in the lower legs and Kaiser says Lupron could be the culprit. Anybody experiencing the same?

My father started Zytiga + Prednisolone. When he had 1 week without Zytiga he also didn`t take Prednisolone. And in same evening his lower legs swelled like ballons. Started to take Prednisolon and sweeling got better. But it actually get back to normal when he started his Zytiga pills again.

Sounds like his swelling had nothing to do with the drugs.

i think it was probably was because of abroupt cut of prednisolone. You need to reduce is slowly.

Just taking the Lupron shot every 3 months or as needed, nothing else.

My left calve swells on days I work possibly due to how I sit. I work it down by excercise. I had RT and been on Lupron and Zytiga for almost a year and a half.

I'm alert to responses to arete1105's original post. A couple of months ago, I started noticing that my right calf is distinctly fatter than my left calf. Ben on Lupron/Eligard + Ztyiga + prednisone for two years. Originally I thought maybe my asymmetric calf swelling might be due to too-tight socks. Never occurred to me that this might be an ADT SE. So tell me more.

I am going to ask my Onc if he has something other than the Lupron shot.

Originally when the swelling appeared, the PCP (several years ago)thought it was due to a blood clot in the leg. Scan was negative. Had the same scan this week, swelling increasing, also negative. So I pressed the nurse on why, they just wanted me to elevate the leg. Then she read Lupron literature and saw it could cause swelling. So now I have a treadmill test coming up to rule out heart problems. On EKG Dr thought she could detect a slight murmur.

MY ankle and calf swelling was due to heart medication long before aPCa Dx.Taking 1/2 of the smallest pill you ever saw to counteract.

I've had bilateral swelling of lower legs for quite a while. It's most likely a side effect of lupron.

My leg swelling came from having 27 lymph removed at the time of my robotic prostatectomy. It is called Lymphedema, and there are specially trained physical therapists that can successfully control/minimize the swelling.

I have swelling of lower legs, I take water tablets, exercise and massage, it all helps. My onco recommended compression stockings but I found they made it worse. Also tight socks makes it worse.

I had a huge swelling of left calf. They did Ultrasound and found nothing. It finally went away. I sometimes get very painful "monte horses" in my right calf. (My potassium is good.) It's not from kicking the cats, because I'm left footed.

They didn't tell you the ultrasound was accidentally performed on your head. The swelling remains..im glad the calf got better.
