It seems that many questions on this site are of the type where do I start, or what procedure, test, drug treatment(s), or scan do I do next.
Has anyone gone to the trouble to produce a flowchart of all these possibilities?
Tying them together to give a comprehensive view of what treatments remain depending on the treatment paths that lie ahead?
Including various known genes defects and what treatments are effective for them. Etc. Etc.
So take immunotherapy for example. If I'm thinking I might want to try one of the various immunotherapies. And I can see by looking at this flowchart that maybe I get to try that, and get insurance in general to pay for it, or Medicare to pay for it, when I reach this point or have these criteria. Or I can get it at this point if I am able to pay cash to get around a insurance roadblock.
Clinical trials in effect might also be added for example at various points on this flowchart.
Tall Allen, is this something you might already have in some form? or know where one could be found, or be capable and interested in creating?
What cheat sheets do Doctors learn or work from?
Anyone else interested in such a flowchart?

*** I am a 70yo @ 5.5 years since diagnosis of GL10 not yet (?) metastasized began with Orchiectomy then Cryoablation treatments and an Immunotherapy 3 drug cocktail injection (non FDA approved BUT 2 have recently been approved as a combo Opdivo + Yervoy) then began Testosterone bi-weekly injections --- so just wondering if there was a realistic place for me on a "Flow Chart" ***
The are flowcharts for the treatment of prostate cancer. My oncologist gave me one. I will see if I can dig it out. As I remember it was a little thin. This could be an interesting project.
What Tall_Allen said to refer to - as good as it gets to get a background understanding of the disease and treatment paths / options.
There are books in publication as well - LifeonADT.com if that is a path that your diagnosis leads to - that is a must read ..... consult with your medical 'professional ' team OR get one
to ensure you are getting the proper treatment(s).
Note that Urologists are NOT THE ONLY 'pros' that would form the team that you MIGHT need.
