Hello, when’s a good time to get tested for PSA after the 6 monthly injection. How long should it take for PSA to drop and get an accurate reading ?

It can take 2 months or more before PSA bottoms out.

If you get a PSA reading too soon you might be reading the PSA bounce. When Cancer cells die they give off PSA and you can get a higher reading.

Ok thank you, he had his shot about a week ago, got his reading yesterday. His psa dropped from 5.4 to 1.2 just from the chemo. However, I’m curious to see the drop once his shot kicks in, in a few weeks
