Hi everyone, as u can see by the title back in hospital again after only 3 weeks. Last time was the severe pain in my pelvis but this time it's severe pain in the middle part of my spine which does worry me a bit as my metastasis is deep in my spine just below this pain. Doctors are looking into it and palliative care team coming to see me tomorrow. They are on about upping my meds one of which is a fentanyl patch. That would take its dose up to 50mg which makes morphine look like a sweet in strength. All this and I havey second chemo on Tuesday, happy days. Oh well time to grin and bear it.
Good luck to all my prayers go out to you.x

I’m your age and have been down a similar path as you. I had surgery for spinal cord compression last fall and am currently on Jevtana after Docetaxel stopped reducing my psa, which peaked at 10,000 last fall.
Is surgery an option for you if compression is evident?
Chemos for prostate cancer ain’t so bad. They ain’t nuthin.
