Hi everyone, today my dad diagnosed with prostate cancer on December 2019, with gleason 9, started branchytherapy. Recently his PSA was 0.2 no Mets, Unfortunately I can’t be with him due to the closed borderUSA- Canada. I am anxious and I want to share this feeling with you. I will really appreciate if you keep him in your prayers and any suggestions, recommandations ..... I know everybody is different and reacts differently but really I love your ideas, opinions, expériences which help me to have a better idea in order to help my dad as much as I can. By the end of July he will have EBRT and continue with Eligard. Thanks for your Time. Respectfully Julieta

He is getting the best treatment, with evidence of the highest cure rates. Urinary difficulties may sometimes be a problem later. Not a bad idea to get a prescription for Flomax in advance, so he can take it (and an NSAID) at the first sign.

The doctor prescribed antibiotics, Tylenol and flomax. Yes he has urinary difficulty. Is it normal to have blood in his urine...???

Yes. It should clear up eventually. Only worrisome if there is a lot of blood.

Greetings Etoile3,

Would you please provide us more info regarding your Father. I.e. Age? Location? Treatment center(s)? Doctor's name(s)? All info is voluntary but it helps us help him and helps us too. If you do respond you might want to add that data to his/your UserID homepage for your future use and for other users. Thank you!!! (You're a great offspring)....

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
