I have T3B prostate cancer diagnosed in May 2019.(age 80)

Started FIRMAGON in August 2019 and had 20 sessions of Radiotherapy in October.

BNP...Brain natriuretic Peptide...

On 27/11/2019 720 pg/ml

On 20/04/2020 2007 pg/ml

I seek advice concerning this high value.....

My URO does not know what it means...

Later I will ask my Oncologist who prescribed this test....

Thanks and have nice day

Do you have known cardiovascular issues?

You asked before and you said that you didn't see a cardiologist. I don't understand why you haven't.

Not everything that goes wrong is because of prostate cancer.

Thanks....

I will see Cardio tomorrow...

But my onco ...a top Prof on PC

Why do you suspect it has anything to do with ADT damage?

I read that ADT has effect on cardiac functioning ..

and increase in BNP

In Dec I asked Prof Cussenot ...Oncologist ..why BNP is 720 instead of 100....

He says not relevant....for me...do not worry!!!

On 22 avril Il will again ask him....

There is no evident reason

for high BNP...no breathing problem no fatigue no problem climbing hills..heart beat ok...around 55_60

First time I ever had BNP test was in Nov 2019...

I will see what Cardio says tomorrow...

Thanks for your reply
