Cancer Hacking

I wrote a book about what we do. I titled it “Cancer Hacking 2.0”.

My definition of Cancer hacking: the artful process of using unconventional or unproven approaches, methods, or therapies in efforts to improve a cancer patient’s quality and length of life. Also, the careful, rational, and deliberative efforts to develop such “hacks.”

What do I hope to achieve with this book?

•Many of us are suffering needlessly from gynecomastia, extreme muscle loss, and enzalutamide brain fog. I want to spread the word about hacks for these and other ADT side effects.

•I want to offer a methodology for, and show how to mitigate additional issues with, cancer hacking.

•I put forth the idea that cancer hacking could eventually reduce our foe from executioner to nuisance.

•And finally, I want to expand the number of active “cancer hackers”—for all our benefit. There are precedents and logical reasons for doing so.

I’m guessing that there are 9,000+ lurkers on this forum—guys (and loved ones) hoping to learn something, but unsure about participation. There are likely hundreds of thousands of men with stage IV mPC who don’t know that this forum exists. I wrote this book with them in mind. I make no pretense for supplanting the expertise of this forum. On the contrary, I point the reader to this forum as a valuable resource.

I’ve tried hard to make this book, accurate, truthful, and useful. I know not yet if I’ve succeeded. I expect blowback for several of the positions I take. Some of my conclusions are likely wrong. But, I may be advancing the ball down the field with this approach. I hope so.

Awesome. Thanks. Just bought the Kindle version. I have a lot of time on my hands to read these days while I social distance. Love the cover photo. Been there, done that. Stay well.

Am I a "HACKER???" Do I fulfill the requirements?

2015 >>> PCa diagnosis Gleason 9 with immediate bilateral orchiectomy instead of ADT

Chose an Interventional Oncology MD for Cryoablation plus Immunotherapy injection

Began bi-weekly Cypionate injections 1 month following immuno

GOAL >>> live life to whatever extreme the body will allow while it can. Fuel the body with HIGH TEST FOOD AND LIQUIDS, minimal suppliments

Had to end 5K, 10K, half and full marathons plus IRONMAN Triathlons due to bone on bone knee pain affecting endurance cycling

Continuing with my 100+ mile/day bicycle rides 2 to 3 days/week to maintain fitness

70th birthday in July with 140+ mile ride to celebrate

3 hours ago got my testosterone injection and will bicycle 100+ miles beginning at Midnight. Once the County Pool reopens will be back to swimming.

A treatment protocol unlikely to be approved by the "Medical Profession" but it's my life and I'll do what I want.

Jens. Congrats on the book. I am of the view that Standard of Care therapies overlook other integrative therapies that should be considered in attacking Stage 4 PCa.

After I was treated in South Korea for intermediate stage GS 7 PCa, I wrote a best selling book on my experiences and included data on the latest diagnostics and therapies.

In December, Amazon I launched my third book "An ABC of Prostate Cancer Today - 3rd Edition." I include heaps of data on newer therapies that are likely to be the therapies of tomorrow. It is the most comprehensive book available on PCa today. It's been reviewed by a number of leading medical specialists.

Anyhow best of luck with the book.
