Only completed 2 of 28 and the nausea and fatigue is unexpected this early?? Previously did chemo 4 years ago and since then went on to Zytiga and Lupron. My MO is being aggressive to target a lesion in the pelvic bone.
Any advice on diet and how to handle initial side effects?
Thanks

Prostate, pelvic and pubic bone. I exercise every day as I have a golden retriever that needs a lot or exercise also. Haven’t got out of bed today due to fatigue and nausea. Perhaps it is psychological. Let’s see what the full week brings. Thanks Tall Allen.
Listen to your golden retriever - Push yourself to exercise. This is not the time to take it easy. Exercise increases cell oxygenation which helps the radiation work better while being less toxic to healthy cells.
Ginger and thc can help nausea..fatigue can be helped by green tea and or ginseng..Exercise when you feel least like it. Helps to have some one to crack a whip and get you up . I had chronic fatigue for a few years ..wife got me out of bed or I’d sleep for days at a time. I think the further you get from treatments the better you should feel. It Takes time to recovery. Now just concentrate on getting thru ..it ...may the rt serve that pc a plate of poison . Good luck 🍀
I agree 100% with Tall Allen . I wonder , however , if there isn’t something else at play here . Have you had any bloodwork recently ? And also if pelvic and pubic bone lesions are not significant enough to cause a fracture I would add some light weight training to you exercise regime ie 10 lb. hand held weights .While I know everyone’s response to these therapies are different, I did 45 IMRT treatments while working 60 hrs week and working out daily . I say this only as encouragement. Peace brother .
Thank you sir. This is very useful. I was in that mode of sleep yesterday and I focused on the need to get up and do something otherwise I would have stayed in bed all day. Strange after only 2 treatments.
I had 43 IMRT while taking Lupron. There was a little tiredness (not really fatigue.) I continued to work on the farm. There was some rectal bleeding. Now completed first cycle of Docetaxel and this is definitely challenging. Still take lupron and Xtandi. I feel that I am being overloaded, but the numbers have started to move downward. Now going on my tenth year, I feel like what has worked for me is to "stay in the game.' I do things differently, but the job still gets done and I can find some joy in finding those new routes in life. The flowers are always there for the picking - good luck on your journey.
Wow. That’s a lot of treatments. Good to know that your journey is only 10 years in and gives me hope after 4 years. Believe it or not I’m struggling more with radiation than docetaxel!!! Still taking Lupron every 90 days and zytiga (4 a day).
