After prostate surgery

I pee differently this year than last.

I did not dream the change would be so vast.

My member long and stout was quickly found.

It shot a measured stream upon the ground,

Or it withheld if such important be.

But now the horror when I have to pee.

My short and skinny one is held within

The hairs, and only with much effort do I win

Its freedom. I pull, it starts to spray

At random, uncontrolled in every way.

I forgot the last two lines:

After prostate surgery

I pee differently this year than last.

I did not dream the change would be so vast.

My member long and stout was quickly found.

It shot a measured stream upon the ground,

Or it withheld if such important be.

But now the horror when I have to pee.

My short and skinny one is held within

The hairs, and only with much effort do I win

Its freedom. I pull, it starts to spray

At random, uncontrolled in every way.

At first I was ashamed when I wiped up the floor

But I have since accepted it and am ashamed no more.

True. Just sit down & pee. Easy peesy.

I do sit down to pee-- have done ever since my surgery in 2010. It is the drips on the way from the loo to the shower that embarrass me --among seemingly countless other things.

in reply toGoBucks

Been doing that for years at home at least. Couldn't pee straight; just a dribble and a long time coming when I had enlarged prostate (BPH). I can pee OK now but I'm tall and likely to miss so why risk creating a mess.

or stick your foot in the bowl and pee on that leg so it'll run down to your foot into the bowl.. p.s. Remember to take your foot out before you flush.....

Much to my dismay, I feel your pain! My flow is good and often, but alas, the tool used to deliver it was made short almost to compare to a female appearance with an internal spring trying to pull it inside out.
