My dad just had his oncologist appointment and three monthly shot of Zoladex. His psa remains at 0.1 which it has been since he commenced ADT in Feb this year. I’m assuming that this is good and we can breathe again for another three months? The dr did not mention any other treatments at this time - not chemo or adding Zytiga. Should we let the Zoladex run it’s course until it stops working? There was also no talk of a psma pet scan to see if any new Mets have emerged - would this only be warranted if we see a rise in psa? He is tolerating the effects of ADT really well - minor hot flashes and minor joint pains, I think alleviated because of his regular exercise. Thanks for reading this - it’s just as much a record for myself as it is for comfort and advice.
